I’ve been pulled over on my 916 at a stop light because the cop thought something was wrong with it(dry clutch). I’ve been pulled over on my busa in 01 because the cop wanted to look at it(small town). But I will say, they more gear you wear, the least likely they are to pull you over unless you are in a full suit riding towards back roads(don’t wear pucks). Muted colors are better. Also never ride the same roads all of the time. Rotate them. Never ride with big groups unless it’s a toy run or something similar. Always cruise through small towns. Never be aggressive on highways in the city. Radios will get you after a Karen calls you in.

Been pulled over on my 23 MT-10 when it was stock and was breaking her in. I was trying to vary the throttle and went 15 mph over the speed limit. But after I added the full exhaust and tune and doing the speed limit I was targeted and paced a couple of times. That’s when I put on cruise control and enjoy the scenery until they get tired of following me. 😀. I only get spicy on secluded country back roads. I’m in it for the twisties and really love throttling up as I come out into a long straight. My kinda bike life.

one of the easiest things to do on your bike to avoid getting ganked by the 5 oh? make sure your license plate is CLEARLY VISIBLE! if the cop can see your plate clear as day? that removes one of the top reasons the fuzz have to pull you over! tucking your plate up underneath your fender facing down towards the rear tire? that gives them the excuse that they "can't see your tag!" to pull yer ass over and then come up with a story of how you were riding like "Fred Flintstone riding home on the Friday of a long weekend" and a possible litany of other trumped up charges that they can think of to help lower the power to weight ratio by lightening up yer wallet! so as long as you keep your spirited riding in areas that are not overly frequented by cops looking to hand you another possibly very costly ticket!

Any motorcycle can get you pulled over. It doesn't matter. Generally speaking, if you are riding at reasonable speeds, using your turn signals...like you are supposed to be doing, paying attention, and trying to ride safe, they won't bother you. Only the cops that are extremely bored and/or like Buford T. Justice will bother you for any little thing. I forgot to mention mistaken identity. That's possible too.

Funny how you mention Harleys specifically when most riders want a louder bike no matter the ride. I've also noticed way more metric cruisers with louder pipes than Harleys lately. That being said, there are plenty of loud Harleys, and a lot of them are stock pipes believe it or not, but they're older models before the new EPA restrictions. I ride a 24 Street glide and the stock pipes make the bike sound like an angry sewing machine not like a motorcycle much less a Harley, took a look inside my pipes and the baffles are so small I doubt a rat could squeeze through them.

Back in the 1980's ,I owned a standard silver KZ550 that was a blast to ride. I was driving ultra stupid on the interstate and drove right up on a state trooper, where I dumped the throttle and latched onto every darn bit of front and rear brakes I had to just get down to the speed limit. The sudden throttle closing at ultra high revs made the carbuerators flood the engine and kill it dead as hell. That probably saved my life. I tried to roll start the engine with the state tropper right behind me and it just would not start. I pulled over down the off ramp. The police officer could not give me a ticket for any infraction because I had successfully got near the legal speed limit before the bike died... But he got me on my bike insurance. Which, because of money troubles, I had cancelled the week before. I am glad today, that engine drowned itself in gasoline.

If you're on anything with 2 wheels and an engine you're going to get pulled over. They will look for a reason. You'll stand out no matter what you ride because most people drive cars. Even if you ride a 50cc. I literally got pulled over doing 36 in a 45 zone on a 49cc Honda and was told I was going too fast for that moped. He told me I had to keep it at 30. He told me I was doing 40 MPH but I doubt that I could even get that little 49cc going that fast. He let me go with a warning and said keep it at 30. This was way out in the middle of no where on Highway 98 (45 zone). A little information about the Honda. This was a 2011 carbureted 49cc Honda Metropolitan. I once passed by one of those digital signs that tell you how fast you are going. Full throttle pinned all the way going down a hill I hit 36 MPH. You could actually feel the scooter pull back if going downhill because it simply was not designed to go any faster.

I got that 'stolen bike' excuse once. I had a brand new 2002 GSX-R 600 in black and yellow. Only a couple of days old. I had spotted the officer and was simply leaving a parking lot safely, but it was nighttime, and there was no one else around. He spun around and pulled me over for no reason. I live in a very small town. There was no other bike like it in town yet. They didn't even care if I believed their excuses or not. They held me up and gave a hard time for way longer than necessary, trying to prove who I was and who the bike belonged to. Definitely a 'profiling' stop. But the truth is, overall, I've had interactions with more good cops than bad ones. Often letting me off easy when they didn't have to.

What 50cc engine do you know produces 6 hp, none. So I got a scooter which is over 2.4 kw for around 1000 dollars brand new and bam I got fast cheap transportation that can go 40 mph without the need for registration or insurance.

Depends on the area. You'll see this more in areas of high motorcycle theft or at certain times of the day (like late at night) in said areas as a preventative measure, usually in conjunction with some other violation unless they're specifically looking for a stolen bike. A cop just pulling over every bike checking to see if it's stolen just because they feel like it is likely a rare occurence. It is super easy to break traffic rules to give cops a reason to pull you over if they suspect something else is wrong, but this also happens with cars... if you drive like you haven't done anything wrong or aren't guilty of something, chances are you aren't getting pulled over.

It was great now I had to put a metal frame around my license plate to make it so it doesn’t break, but now I’m good. IF they pulled you over without a justified reason, then you can beat the citation with a good lawyer. If there's no legal grounds for the stop, anything found AFTER the stop will be dropped in court with a good legal team.

Could you imagine if Ducati released a beginner friendly bike? How bonkers would it be?

Several points you mention can be avoided by simply not breaking the law. Ohhh boy I got stopped for breaking the law, the police definitely stopped me because I'm riding X bike style

Back in the day, I never stopped, but nowadays, with the traffic, I wouldn't try to run its way to dangerous

cant outrun camera image of your tag....if they light you up and you run? Very likely to end quite badly eventually ....many states can mail you the summons to appear in court off photo image and officer testimony....IF one is not going to pull over (the TRUE .01% OUTLAW bikers) ? No plate on motorcycle and dont keep wearing the same helmet and jacket in same area etc

Pretty much every kawasaki with a green livery will get you pulled over regardless of cc

If you buy a bike the color of a highlighter pen, you want attention. So you will get attention.

Lmaooo i bought the green blue and white one and somehow ive yet to run into any trouble, i tend to like to go fast but not so unreasonable that im endangering myself or others though so maybe that plays a part.

Regarding having a 1k or similar bike as being a reason you're more likely to get pulled over i think isn't entirely true. These bikes have, can, and will run circles around cop cars. They're so stupidly fast that unless the guy is wanted for murder or some other violent or sex crime, the cops tend not to mess with them just due to that. No point in trying to catch up to the guy already doing mach jesus because by the time they'd get up to half the speed the bike is already three counties over.
