Spec wise this thing kicks the Tenere T7's ass lol but everyone is wary of Aprilia reliability but this 660 is understressed and detuned compared to the RS. Think Aprilia Shiver/Dorso/Capnacord... those run forever and pack on miles.

I was the lone cruiser with my sport bike friends. Once I had a 1700 roadstar warrior I was able to hang with ease and ride further because I was comfortable. We don't have enough curvy roads to really get a great benefit of sport bikes where I live.

Growing up in the 90s, my dad had a BMW K 1200 and I had a poster of The Aprilia RSV Mille on my wall. I am now in my mid 30s and still don’t own a motorcycle mainly because I went down the path of fast cars. Purchased a 2012 Evo. I’ve been watching a ton of your videos and throwing ideas at the wife about picking up a small bike like the 457 or the 660 but the wife is very hesitant.

Idk bout younger riders being safety conscious when you earlier said 19 year olds are going out on R1’s doing 180. You’re right we are. Most the guys I ride with don’t wear shit for gear though and I see a lot more of that on the tik tak. I ride in gear I don’t wanna be street meat.

I used to think the GS 1250 is the best adventure tourer there is. So, what's the best in that category?

Love how he always says a beginner bike being 300-500cc, in the UK we have 125cc bikes, no they’re not the most powerful or fastest, but they allow us to get some experience in

I mean, it does look like a love child between the Ducati Streetfighter and the Kawi Z900, but that's not a bad thing. Lots of power, more than adequate tech and that legendary Honda reliability, for that price point? Sounds like a home run...

The world’s developed countries’ governments keep making emissions stricter for the behaving countries, and basically ignore the fact that India and China and Russia spew out so much omissions that what the clean countries do hardly even matters. Very sad.

Just because you find electronics on a bike difficult to service and maintain, does not mean that there won't be smarter people taking advantage of your obsolescence. Adaptive and keen learners will find a way to maintain their bikes either way. Some of them will build businesses outclassing existing motorcycle technicians, ensuring the bikes can still run fine 30 years down the road. I'm sure that's already happening in the car scene anyway.

For those racing slow bikes fast the rc is the only new option. The 400 is no more, the 500, Aprilia and cfmoto don't have race parts. Is the rc upper the displacement to the Duke 399 we'd have a clear winner

Its the only reason the GSX-S1000 has been desirable. Im glad Honda of all people are following suit. Some people dont need bleeding edge track components and just want something comfy, powerful and athletically capable. 10/10 and i hope this category stays hot. Solid vid. I didnt know about this one coming to the US so i may now be looking for it instead of the squid-mobile zuki

If it goes well, maybe Kawasaki brings back the Z1000 (or, more likely, a Z1100). By the way, it is still sold in some markets, like Brazil.

This is one of the worst motorcycle reviews I’ve seen. The settings are incredibly straight forward and the fact you are bitching about the high beam switch is laughable. I’ve never once accidentally hit my high beams on any of my bikes, including this one.

Honda taking VERY direct aim at the MT10 with this. Losing some features but still bringing the power and at SUCH a reduced price. But being *that* much cheaper than the next tier down? Oof. That's gonna be disruptive.

Let’s be totally honest, I’ve been riding bikes for years, bikers ride way above the speed limits and way beyond their capabilities, you don’t buy an R1 to ride around at 70mph.

8999 GBP is over 11k USD, it’s not less than an R7 or Daytona 660. Your mental conversions are a few years out of date now. But it is priced very well still. I’d certainly consider it if it comes here. Love inline 4 sound, Honda does it well

My 2019 790 Adventure R failure in December 2023 started it all, infact one of your cam photos was the first image taken of my inlet cam. It failed at 30,900km with twice the required services fully documented. I started making enquiries and my local KTM dealership said this only happens to people who haven't serviced their bike, while totally refusing to see my documented service history. I went to another dealership, they gave me contact details for KTM central, my bike went into a KTM workshop and I never saw it again. After 44 emails, 6 months without my bike, KTM were forced to buy my bike back under our consumer laws. After the bike ownership had been formally signed over they decided not to pay me 2 days later, 4 days passed after the transfer, the Office of Fair Trading contacted them in relation to our consumer laws and payment happened shortly after. They tried to get me to sign a non disclosure agreement for all of this, let that sink in. I started the KTM Failed Camshaft page to support other owners who were mistreated by KTM. I've since met so many random KTM owners that have had failure, I had a KTM mechanic openly admit he's seen a bunch come through his workshop. I have learn't not to believe a word KTM say about anything. One small group I met at a small store in the country a few months ago, all 5 were 790/890 owners, 4 out of the 5 had experienced cam failure. This problem isn't going away and any decent company would have recalled them. Sorry to all the owners jammed up in this mess.

The wrong decision is the want for a 170 mph sport bike after all we have speed limits you can only go so fast . Unless you don’t care , and what we forget is the point is getting out and seeing the world and enjoying, you want to see the world not a blur . These new 400s are great even if you have 20 years experience
