7 must visit shipwrecks in Cape Town (to visit by foot)

In this video we explore all the shipwrecks in Cape Town you can visit by foot. There are easy ones you can drive up to but also ones you have to hike a distance to get too. There are many more that you can visit by diving or snorkelling in the waters around Cape Town. My personal favourite was the Kakapo seeing it felt like I was in a desolate place.

You mention the Antipolis, but not the Romelia (off Llandudno, finally disappearing below the waves several years ago), both ran aground in 1977 after their respective tow ropes snapped. 👍

@@garnettsnyman no, it's all gone (below water level). I used to hike to Oude Schip almost weekly, parking at the Sunset Rocks car park in Llandudno, one weekend it was gone. I can't remember when, probably in the mid-2000s.

this great vid is proof that the cape is not part of south africa. those wrecks would be gone in a day or two in gauteng.
