I think you do a great job on everything. I admire your work ethic also. On the Rooster if it were mine to redo, I would remove all the wax and then use a solid color then highlight with the gold or bronze guilding . Love you

For those of us that grew up on the 70s and 80s, warm tones are our childhood. I love it. By the way rub and buff is a buffing agent to add shine, not paint an object. Learned about it from Sherry at Canterbury Cottage

I love warm tones. I have found when I am trying to get an antique look, I will paint the item black before I use the rub n buff. That would look amazing on the rooster! Happy St. Patrick's day!

I’m a reseller. I live in a small rural town where there is nowhere to work, even if I wanted to…which I don’t! I have been doing this forever, before there were nine million other people doing it! I love it & I haven’t missed working for someone else for the last thirty three years! I personally like the rooster the way he is with a little color peeking thru; it looks more original & artistic. I, myself, am really tired of everything being painted a solid color.

I admire the support you give other resellers. I have found it quite difficult to get into it because when I go bin shopping the resellers there are kinda rude if I ask them questions. I am a SAHM and sell a tad bit on eBay here and there to help my husband who works 3 jobs. I definitely don’t make nearly enough on eBay but I am not giving up.

I love everything! The only tweak I would suggest is the topiary. It's just too big for that proportion. If you do a tall slim tree instead, it will be much better. I can't believe those duck cannisters!! They are so cute. The tulip ones are also pretty. Made me think of them in a 40's kitchen.

I am a warm tone person, I decorate with all Fall colors all of the time. Only in Spring do I add pops of dark pink, purple, or blue. I mostly use oranges, reds, and yellows, though. I love both of the vignettes.

Hi cory, here is my take on ur rooster, and I liked him! I have been a pottery and ceramic artist for well over 35 years. He was extremely glossy and nothing would stick, fired at a high temp so his glaze was like glass. You could have sanded him so stuff would stick, but that doesn't always work. It probably needed a bonding primer first before anything. I use dixie belle slick stick, but there are other cheaper brands out there at lowes, etc. Just make sure it will go over glass. I have picture frames once in a while that nothing will stick to and then I regret not hitting it with bonding primer. When that happens I just make it really rustic with lots of the under neath color showing. Lol.

Great flips! The rooster needs more work. I’m not a painter so don’t know. Love everything else. And yes I use warm tones certain places. My fireplace is Mexican brick, dull and boring. So I used an Orange Swedish tile painted plate on it as a focal point. Pops color. I wanted to add more color in my room. Usually I lean towards cooler colors in my house. I just realized it. My kitchen has warm colors in it. I love all colors except yellow! Never anything yellow! I think I have a magazine rack like that in my attic that my father made in high school shop in the 1940’s. It sounds like the Texas pollen has affected you. I get it too. It’s usually cedar. I’m so happy that your shop is doing so well to support your family. Kids gotta have some fun too. Love your channel and always look forward to watching what you do next!

The frame your husband made for the painting, and the stain color used are perfect for that paining. I thought what you did with the clear glass piece was very clever. My favorite piece is the magazine rack. With all the colors on the rooster, I would have first painted it a solid dark color, then applied rub and buff. I like both warm, and cool colors, both done well can look beautiful…I think it really depends more on the style of the home, the climate it’s located in, the amount of natural light, or lack of natural light the home receives, and other factors. I will say that brass, copper, and bronze pieces for the home have been very on trend for at least the past year, and everyone is grabbing gilt gold frames. Have a great week🥰.

I think if you painted the little rooster first with black then use the rub n buff to hit the high places by “drybrushing “ with the rub n buff would work better. I’ve used it on several projects in that way! Works great! And lasts a long time in just used dry brushing items…

I Pretty much love both the dark & light tones!! Depends on the room and how much natural light comes in!! Don’t like the chicken, honestly!! I’d say paint gray like stone, & highlight with the bronze/copper!! Love the lamp!! Would look more gorgeous with one of those industrial light bulbs-No matter what, it is Beautiful!! I Absolutely Love the painting with the stained wood frame!! Trying not to forget-Oh, the enamel frame with print from your botanical book!!!❤🌿❤️Beautiful young Lady!!!❤

Gonna say- broke my left ring finger knuckle in January. Had to go back to surgery this past Thursday-finger knuckle wired and at another place wired to my pinky finger-stabilizing and trying to correct rotation. SOO, I made my own iPhone holder!! A little wood tray from Walmart, had a roll of the grip/no slide drawer liner, spray adhesive, waverly chalk paint, matte water based poly,and waverly antique wax with metallic paint!!! My Waverly chalk color was Peacock!! Turned out so good and no more twisting of left fingers!! No slipping or sliding off elevated pillows, “tray” handle allows access to charge phone!! Can go straight up or on side for better viewing!! Plus holds my reading glasses!!❤

My fav is your painting with your husbands frame. I would ask him to use the mahogany stain on it for warm colored paintings and you can paint/paint wash the others. I would also double down on those type of paintings at that price. I think you would make a lot of money!

On the rooster if you spray paint it matte black or paint it with acrylic black paint first you can do the rub and buff over the paint and it works great.

I like the warm tones and tend toward warm and buttery tones accented with blues. The dark colors give a more masculine feel, or maybe wintery feel, but I like that look, too. As for the rooster, I would remove the dark rub and buff. Maybe try a gray primer, a copper wax (from a different company) and add a vertigris accent. It could also work on pieces like the alligator skin topiary as well. (I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the company, but it comes in a small rather flat jar and they have a lot of different metallics.) Your booth looks great and I can see your designers eye developing the more I watch your videos. It is a delight .

The glass you used for the topiary cloche is usually used in a cast iron stand as a vase. Commonly seen in Mexican home decor.

If you want layers of the rub n buff, clear coat(spray on would probably be best,) it between each coat of rub n buff! It's pretty cool though ❤
