I painted my living room sawdust by sherwin williams. It first looked like newborn baby diarrhea poop. I've never been scared I'd made a mistake with a color. I pushed through it. And to this day, I get so many compliments on it. People don't realize it's because of the lighting we have in here. My husband and I always smile because he really tried hard to say something nice when I said omg it looks like wet newborn diarrhea!!!! And he couldn't even argue. I love this color and I am glad I have good instincts because it was staying up no matter what. 😂

The Pacific Northwest seems to have different light - some of the popular off-whites don’t work well here. “Alabaster” looks like a corpse white, but creams do better

People spend so much time paying for a home and making decisions on a home they live in based on the NEXT buyer jeez paint is a relatively affordable thing to change do what you want within reason. Every home doesn't have to be an off white or tape gray and medium brown so your space is as sterile as possible and neutral for the next person. It's not backsplash or cabinets have fun with it too. So tired of every home looking like a west elm store but with cheaper furniture and a generic farmhouse look outside

I have so many different shades of natural light that come into my house, but at this point, I feel like I should just color everything a rainbow of colors to be fully satisfied…😂😂😂😂 I kid I kid

Ugh. Colors of the Year. We sell Ben Moore and Valspar at my store. I've never had anyone even ask for a sample of either brand's COY. Cinnamon Slate?! Epic Adventure?! No thanks.

Wrong! The greatest color mistake is surprising your wife with swatches on your wall and promising to paint whatever she likes, and then never following through!
