Nice vid! FYI, you could create your pulse width modulation patch without doing any patching at all, as the LFO is normalized to go through Attenuator 2 to both Pulse Width 1 & 2 by default.

That’s what I love about the Neutron. It’s a good entry into the modular world. Even though some paths are normalized, it’s interesting that you can get the same results from patching. For educational purposes.

This was incredibly clear and you chose 7 examples that are not only useful, but manage to teach the foundations of the patch bay. I would love a sequel! Thanks!!

Cool sounds there Rishabh, I was torn between the Model D and this and although I'll most likely end up with both I will definitely be getting the Neutron first. Thanks for taking the time to put together such a cool video.

Great presentation style and content. Appreciate that you went past, "Here's what OSC2 sounds like," explained a bit of theory behind how the mods and patch recipes work. And I love the comments with other ways in, they show how flexible the synth is for achieving sounds in different ways. More Neutron please!

How great is this module?!? I just got mine today and I'm BLOWN AWAY. This feels like a $600 or $800 boutique synth. SOLID. And super friendly with my other modular gear. They really did a great job of creating a really great voice with a normalled path, but a TON of patch points that I don't consider it semi-modular. I think of it more like a super complex voice module. FOR $300. It's insane Thank you Rishabh! You did an excellent job, I'm sending every new modular convert to your video after telling them to start with a Neutron. Out of the park, Behringer.

I picked up a used one for $150 but the normalized patch doesn’t work because of faulty hardware... and behringer doesn’t cover their products unless you have a receipt even when it’s a known hardware issue....however. The stock normalized patch is still capable through patching and I’ve grabbed a couple stackable cables to rectify making the used ports free. Even in its quirky state I love it.

Hey! Try putting the cuttoff around 12 o’clock and feed the LFO to the filter cutoff at audio rate. Somewhere around 2 o’clock on the LFO rate knob works. Now, raise the res until it self-oscillates. This sets up a vocal formant sound that is very belchy and human sounding. Like the bass line in that “Ride My Pony” song. LOL Adjust cuttoff, res, LFO speed and shape, and the modulation amount in tiny bits to find the vocal sweet spots.

A better way to achieve "Clean Waveform" is to patch VCF1 (out) -> VCA IN, which will bypass the overdrive circuit for BOTH oscillators without using up an attenuator.
