11:40 if power factor is leading shouldnt the reactance be capacitive and therefore -j? and such be rotated clockwise relative to Ia rather than counter clockwise? Sorry, am just confused, any clarification would be appreciated. Another great video in this fantastic playlist.

The power factor leading here is mentioned about load power factor which determines the nature of the current drawn by the load. The equation with we are drawing the phasor diagram is with respect to the elements to the internal of motor which are all constant, so it will be the same as an inductive reactance irrespective of lagging or leading current drawn by the load.....

Sir if while drawing the resultant phasor in the phasor diagram if the resultant phasor line crosses any of the phasors geometricaly then will my phasor diagram be right..

Why Ia vector isn't drawn like IaRa. I mean why it is drawn on phase voltage vector?

it is so that the phasor addition looks easier, and we can use triangle law for vector addition, otherwise, it will look confusing

Good evening sir, a small doubt if E value is less in leading condition automatically V obtained should also be less.. how it is comparatively getting a higher value with respect to lagging loads? can you plz tell me

The leading condition comes due to the load being capacitve in nature, and when the load is capacitive in nature, it supplies reactive power to the machine which increases its terminal voltage, but here i have kept the terminal voltage constant for comparison, therefore for the same terminal voltage, due to the support from reactive power supplied by load, Ea required to produce that constant terminal voltage will be less.. i guess it will be more clear in the numericals..

@Aniket Srivastav If you look how the vectors add up. The Ea becomes shorter with leading compared to lagging (the reactive vector goes to the left). Now imagine if the Ea was a fixed length, the Vphi vector for the leading pf would have to be longer to reach the same point as the Ea of the lagging pf. Because the IaXs of the lagging pf has the same horizontal direction as Vphi, whereas the IaXs of the leading pf has the opposite horizontal direction to Vphi. I hope you understand me. Maybe I answer too late
