With the Note 4 I would check if you can connect it to PC and have it show up in the device manager. The Note 4s have a very common issue where the EMMC (memory) chip fries itself. If the Note 4 works and it shows up on your PC you could easily buy a Note 4 that doesn't boot or bootloops and swap the screen with your Note 4.
