Reliability. I will take a naturally aspirated Toyota V6 any day over a 4 cylinder with turbos and tons of gadgetry to wring every last HP out of it. Too much heat and complexity will lead to a short life with very little gas mileage gain and additional repairs will eat up any mpg gain.
