I absolutely agree with the thoughts on the Lancôme foundations. It looked terrible on me and the smell never seemed to go away.

Ugh... sooooo perfumy! And I KNOW that they are aware that some of their clientele doesn't like fragrance in their complexion products because they make their powder (or at least they used to) in two different versions, one of them being unscented. I wish they would remove it from their foundations, or at least tone down the strength of it! I’m having trouble with black and white format. I struggle to see all of your features and expressions. I regret getting the Lisa Eldridge foundation. It’s just too drying for my very dry skin. I can work with it but wish it was easier to apply at that price.

I have hated all of the Essence mascaras, not just the Lash Princess line. I regret buying the Juvia’s Place mini palettes. I have like 8 of them, and they don’t blend well or build. Loved the video, except for the black and white.

Hi my sweet beautiful friend!! 💖 I absolutely loved this video 😊 it was nice to hear you discuss other products that you have tried and liked or disliked and why. I trust your opinion! ❤ I would definitely love to see more of these types of videos in the future, along with the foundation ones. It is so very true that some products work wonderfully for some ppl and do NOT for others. Like with the thrive mascara you showed; that is one of my very favorite tubing mascaras 🎉 BUT I have wavy/curly hair and curly eyelashes (no lash curler necessary) so the mascara does not weight my lashes down. I CAN see where it could on others though. Sometimes I have the issue of my lashes touching my hooded lid when my eyes are open, so I usually have to wear a waterproof. However, with the thrive, I don’t have to worry about that. My lashes are still curled up but are away from my upper lid. The other product I do like is the L’Oréal infallible powder foundation, BUT, only as a light setting powder, not as a foundation. I like it especially if I’ve gone in all ham with my blush and need to tone it down 🫣 it works for that. Someone else mentioned the ELF powder foundation and I like that one too for the same reasons. The Essence one is also great and the Ulta Beaty one is good too. The expensive “loved” viral product I tried a couple years ago thinking it would just change my makeup game and make me look flawless was the Laura Mercier loose setting powder. What a nightmare that was on my skin! Lightest shade was still showing up too dark on my fair skin, it was settling in all my fine lines I didn’t even know I had and I swear it changed the color of my foundation no matter how little I used. Hi sweet friend! 🤗 That's so interesting what you mentioned about the Thrive mascara, and your curly hair! My niece (the one I mentioned in the video who looks SO good in that mascara) ALSO has curly hair! I wonder if that's the key? 🧐 She literally looks like she's wearing false eyelashes when she's wearing it! 😍 (I'm so glad you brought that up!) Definitely agree with you on the L"OREAL being a better touch up or "tone down" powder vs. a foundation powder. And thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Laura Mercier powder!! I've pretty much been using my CLINIQUE powder lately for setting because it looks so much "softer" on my skin than my other loose powders (including Laura.) @@foundationlady yes I do think the curly hair, and naturally curly lashes, have a lot to do with how the Thrive mascara works. It IS a bit of a heavier formula but not heavy enough to take my curl away. Just looks like I have really long lashes, like your niece. I haven’t tried the Clinique powder. But I like most anything from them that I have tried. I have so much makeup right now I’ve put myself on a no buy. I had to 🫣 Other than the subscription box I get for Celia (my granddaughter) and me which is the Boxy by Ipsy, I am not buying anything else. I actually need to declutter. We are having a couple of warmer days up here today and tomorrow. Could get up to 70°, but then calling for snow next week. I love Fall but i don’t know if I’m ready for snow yet ugh. I regret trying multiple shades of the IT cosmetics CC cream. The light was too dark, the fair was too light and after trying a third shade in between, I just gave up. I couldn’t make it work. Fortunately I’ve found drugstore items and things I can order on line I like much better actually! I love the Misha bb cream! It’s much better with my skin tone! Thanks for the great reviews!

I tried every version of the CC Cream, but the only one that worked for me was It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow. The other versions just kind of "sat on" my skin, which I was so bummed me out because how great would it be to have a CC cream with SPF 50?! I love that you're a fan of Missha BB too! I continue to be surprised at how similar our makeup tastes are!! I thought I was the only person on the planet who didn't like the Nars O blush. I actually have the mini also, that I used my Sephora points to purchase. When I apply it, I feel like I'm wearing some kid's makeup with all the shimmer in it. Now I only pull it out when my granddaughter is here, she loves it! And, the only setting spray I use is the dewy one by Catrice. I like to apply it after foundation and concealer and let it dry completely. That way I use a very minimal amount of powder, which can age me terribly. The product I bought that everyone was raving about was the Fenty powder foundation. I had the same reaction you had with the L'Oreal powder foundation. But I love the one by Elf! Now for my most unpopular confession...... I just cannot get on board with cream blushes and bronzers. I keep trying them, and I hate the way they sit on my skin. I have such a tried and true makeup routine with my powder products, and the cream ones just do not measure up. Maybe I'm just old and set in my ways!😬 This was such a fun video! It's proof that we need lots of different brands/formulas because everyone's skin is unique, and we all can have very different opinions about products!! Great job my sweet friend!!❤❤❤

That''s why I've saved all my "regrets" makeup for her sticky little hands! 😂 (I don't feel bad when she digs her fingernails into products I would've tossed anyway! ☺️) LOVE the. Catrice spray!! I think it's one of the BEST -HANDS DOWN! I haven't tried the Fenty powder yet, but I'm hesitant to purchase anything that isn't a mineral based powder with my track record of disliking "regular" powder foundations. So many regrets! An exact match with foundation shades matters! I never like to color my neck or over color my face with bronzer or blush or hope for bad lighting or bad vision. Too dark in shades of eyeliners and too dark lipstick or liners.

I bought the by Terry mascara. Influenced for sure! I kept telling myself mascara gets better with time. Nope. Every time I wear it when I check myself in mirror it’s flaked on my face. It just flakes so bad. It’s a high dollar mascara. Also have found that I am not a fan of the foundation and serum tints from this brand. 🤷🏼‍♀️. Is it me?? It was an expensive makeup purchase and lesson.

I used to use BareMineral complexion rescue - buttercream, but on a whim (and a use discount) I tried Aster Luna skin tint -sand. My cowoker asked what I did when I wore it to work and I told her, she said keep this one cuz it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup at all. what it fixed was the uneven color of my face. It also matched my color just right. I'm trying to find another one that works like It or a different color in the baremineral line, I want to find something cheeaper than $52 >.< no luck yet...course I don't have a lot disposible cash to do much exploring. It's fun watching you try all those different types of foundation so I keep coming back.

I suppose I can't judge a brand by a couple of products, but I regret buying Thrive's eye primer and eyeliner. The primer does not work and the liner is hard, yielding little color. I'd thought about getting their tubing mascara, but I'm reticent to try anything else by Thrive. Another big regret is the Jones Road WTF. The lightest shade is a bit dark on me, but it's the SMELL! I cannot stand it. It's strong and makes me feel like I have an entire spa on my face. In addition, it's greasy to the point of discomfort. Why in the world did I buy it? I bought the Orgasm blush years and years ago, back in the days when Nars blushes were my favorites. I don't hate it, but Orgasm just looks a bit boring on me. It doesn't really enhance anything. I have some other Nars blushes that are much more flattering.

My Neutrogena eyeliner seems to outperform every high-end (pencil or gel) version I've used! So interesting to hear your thoughts on the Jones Road WTF... Oh, I would be so curious to see your opinion on the WTF foundation. I might use it more often in the winter when my skin is drier, but that scent!! Yuck!! Similar in consistency but not greasy is Chantecaille's Futureskin. It's expensive but so lovely. No stench either! I should try Neutragena's eyeliners. It's so hard to find liners that stay on and are non-irritating.

We don't have enough time between us for my "regrets" list, Jenny, but I can concur with several of your own regrets! NARS "Orgasm" is just too warm-toned for my piglet-pink skin, and nearly anything with a gold sheen or shimmer makes me appear jaundiced. The Thrive Causmetics tubing mascara did nothing, nada, zero, zilch for my lashes; I just don't get the hype. With very few exceptions, my skin doesn't like L'Oreal powder products. There's one other product I feel I must mention, you guys don't come for me with torches and pitchforks, ok?? Everyone RAVES about this lip-gloss, and, as someone who doesn't much enjoy lip-gloss, I should have known better. (Apparently my judgement doesn't really improve with age.) I bought the Maybelline Lifter Gloss, and words nearly fail to convey how much I genuinedly loathed the texture, feel, and scent of this product. I tossed it immediately. :( I adore all your videos but have to agree with a commentor below, I felt the black and white format didn't provide the detail I'm used to seeing, and made it a little difficult to see your expressions, etc. Still, a fantastic and enjoyable video, thank you so much! I would say lip glosses are probably my least purchased makeup product. And in fact, other than when I'm filming and want a little extra "something" to pop on camera, I don't really wear them all that often in everyday life either. I find that they either fade too quickly to be worth the trouble, or my hair gets caught in them on a windy day, and that just annoys me! 😂 I do love the Prrrr Lipglass from MAC as that one seems to make ANY lip color look better, but other than that, I pretty much purchase the cheapest lip glosses possible (clear e.l.f. for example.) I regret the Urban Decay Hydromaniac. Emphasizes dry spots and just doesn’t look good overall. And the MUFE reformulated powder foundation. SO cakey and dry. Never again. I’ll stick to my Studio Fix.
