I used a grass/moss mixture for my bottom layer (about 40% of the mountain) then a stone/tuff/cobblestone/stone/andesite (about 45% of the mountain) then snow/powder snow/blue ice (the remaining 15%)
@justaperson1023 Жыл бұрын
Forgot to mention but there is also a small transition between grassy and stone. I use some dirt and course dirt.

This is a great tutorial!, I've been trying to make a mountain/cliff about 70 blocks high that'll lead to a waterfall. I think this will help me tremendously with the waterfall AND other future builds of mine that'll include terrain.

How do you not get more views? Could you make a video about your channel statistics, viewer retention, impressions, etc? I'm so curious on how you're not as popular as other content creators of your quality.
@pumkin6102 жыл бұрын
I think it's because most people don't know about them, most people want to watch the youtubers who they are familiar with. And the algorithm shares the popular videos from popular youtubers more than not famous ones ig
@LeonSBU2 жыл бұрын
i think Pumkin is mostly correct here, the algorithm does favor larger creators, as they've established themselves to be safe, consistent sources of content that appeals to a general audience. of course, i'm not being particularly controversial with my videos, so i don't think this is much of a concern, but in general it's quite difficult for smaller creators to get off the ground. i might do a couple videos talking about my channel stats someday! thx for the comment :)

*could u like... do a video about tips to fix like sides of mountains? or like extend mountains to the side a bit. cus i live in a crater with not so big mountains and I'm building a big storage room in the mountain and i went into one side and came out of the other side so i gotta fix that somehow by making the mountain a bit thicker but I don't want it to look boxy or fake*

I could say make them slope to the top and bottom from the grass that may be at the top that's what I do

very good, some geological things to note when building, mountains can form via different processes, ex. volcanic mountains, like Mauna Kea or the Sierra Nevada Range are common near-ish to oceans or on islands, and are the only irl processes for lone mountains. and other mountains (there are 4 natural processes but the other 3 are somewhat similar), like the Himalayas, which can be basically anywhere but don't form lone mountain ranges. Also warm/dry climate mountains which ore more commonly red/orange can still be very snowy, for example the Wasatch Front. also great video 👍 (i would very much enjoy a tip and tricks for organics)

Should I use the same tips for a volcano?
@LeonSBU Жыл бұрын
admittedly i haven't really tried to make a volcano before, but i would imagine that the same advice applies! just keep in mind that, for an active volcano, you might want some dark discoloration around the peak of the mountain, due to ash and lava.

i don't quite remember off the top of my head, but i believe i used the WorldEdit sphere brush tool to do the texturing ( worldedit.enginehub.org/en/latest/usage/tools/brushes/ ), as well as a lot of copy-pasting with Litematica (saving parts of mountains as schematics and then duplicating them across the world)
