Unless its being used for fine tuning audio, endless scroll knobs are generally better than sliders because they're not stuck in a single position, enabling them to switch effortlessly to control other functions.

Are there any generic addons that we can better control the dials? I want the dials to be able to cycle through "Keys" and let me press to activate. Rather than only using the keys on the buttons So if I have 5 Smart Macros and want them to be able to scroll through them in one dial . Rather than making 5 keys on the buttons. Any help would be great! The stacks are limited

@kingxraekool1857 if you have connected your mic to the Wave XLR then it should appear in the Wave Link software as your microphone, if it doesn't, definitely check out the Elgato website to help troubleshoot why it isn't showing 👍

You Aussie's are freakin' awesome - can't get over how many of the most useful vids i find on youtube are from aussie content creators - i guess this could be the one positive thing that your authoritarian lockdown government has Fostered (i shoe horned that in here)... from subies to r/c to hardware unboxed to now you - i'm quite grateful - by far this concise but detailed breakdown answered so many of my questions and concerns about this device and allowed me to compare it to the Loupedeck Live (or S) - totally sold me on this - I was highly concerned about being restricted to just 8 shortcut buttons - none of the other vids i saw explained how you can easily switch between an expanded set of options - plus your explanation of their audio software - SOLD - thanks, - btw i really appreciated your delivery (energy) of the content as well...

wavelink & streamdeck software don’t communicate correctly with each other on macOS… while wavelink seems to behave right, the knobs on the streamdeck plus lost connection to wavelink… hopefully they fix this since it’s very annoying My guess is that elgato mainly focus on windows users

"Endless dials". Those are rotary encoders, a digital device that sends a pulse/click as it is turned and pushed.

even if the stream deck + is a very enjoyable device and part of the pleasure is pairing it with another stream deck, the device is still very young and lacks functionalities. the rotary dials can't do much yet. I can't wait to get more out of that great little box!😃
