Blobinati Central don’t worry I did. I was gonna ask about the other variants, that you showed on discord, but that’s part 2. Cool.

Here's another variation I made: www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/SBC Its basically where the corners are solved while the last pair in second block is being solved. I made the algs about a year ago lol

@@AshesAwaken aight so my only question is about blockbuilding in the Russo Method? Is it like Roux or Petrus or CFOP or how do I get to the DougLi Block? I know some people say "it doesn't matter" but I want to know the "official" way of getting there. Sorry if this bothers you at all lol

@@lukascubes9132 I normally do it like normal roux fb and roux sb+1. Sorry for the late response. But yea the method kinda sucks, I was like 13 when I made it lol

Hi, theb3ed method is terrible at all, here's why... I am also using it and I get 30 to 35sec each time I use it. You only need to know 4 PPLs, 3 OLLs. And if you want to, you can add full CMLL which are 42 algorithms plus 4 PLLS = 46. In totall you'll need about 50 algorithms. So yeah... not bad at all. Oh, by the way, the 42 method seems cool. I like your videos man. Don't stop!!!!!!

All these variants are quite interesting, but I can't see any of them beating the intuitiveness and the low alg count of standard roux

petroux must be named petrouxfop because you use cfop as well

3:05 okay... thanks for not explaining why it is so bad, despite it apparently being such a common misconception that it is good... just laughing, saying "it's trash, it's terrible, why would you do this?" is really dismissive. For example I do it because I really like the concept of Roux's block building, but I really don't feel like learning a bunch of new algorithms, and making all the OLL and PLL algorithms I have learnt useless. Especially since I'm not only focusing on pure speed when cubing. Some further explanation would of been nice instead of making me feel stupid...
@RowanFortier2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow. I haven't watched this video in 3 years since I made it and yeah the attitude I used was pretty disrespectful. Since then my philosophy of cubing has actually changed quite a lot. For me it's all about fun. You should just do what you find fun about cubing. If you like exploring hybrid methods, then do that :) I think past me thought it was bad for speed, despite one of my PB's actually using this method lol. Anyways, I'm sorry
@baksoBoy2 жыл бұрын
@@RowanFortier no worries! I'm happy to hear that your atitude has changed when it comes to stuff like this, and I really appreciate your response! I did also notice when watching this that the video was pretty old, so my hopes that you had stopped treating it in that way were fortunately true :)

If one switches from cfop to roux already knows full oll/pll, and all that is left to do after the first 2 blocks is insert 2 edges then LL, why is that considered "trash"? I can see if one didn't already know full pll/oll, would be a lot of work learning the algs, but to me knowing full oll/pll, it's more work to try to recognize cases for cmll and then insert edges.
@justaregularhumanbeing3 жыл бұрын
Cause sometimes you can get stupid cases like both edges flipped in the bottom and it is inefficient and stupid
@justaregularhumanbeing3 жыл бұрын
Also you will get dot cases
@hazystudios3 жыл бұрын
@@justaregularhumanbeing Yes I understand how those cases are annoying to those who don't regularly do full oll and pll, but to me one case is as easy as any other, dots, flipped edges, I see the case and immediately solve them.
@Mmmm1ch43l Жыл бұрын
cause it's fairly clearly worse than both Roux and CFOP Roux first two blocks + inserting last two D edges is essentially just a weird (and less efficient) way to do cross + F2l, so CFOP would be better on the other hand, inserting last two D edges + OLL + PLL is quite obviously worse than CMLL + L6E (if you take the time to learn full CMLL), CMLL is more or less comparable with OLL while L6E is just way better than inserting edges + PLL, so just finishing with Roux would also be better all in all, everybody can of course do whatever they want, but if you wanna learn Roux then you should just learn Roux, L6E is what makes Roux into a good method if you don't take advantage of that then you're just using a mediocre variant of CFOP
