I think it’s a bit irresponsible to represent some of these encounters as attacks. I saw curious sea animals doing what they do. If anyone of them wanted to attack, nothing was stopping them. The only exception was the leopard seal. NEVER get in the water if you even think there’s a leopard seal around. The chances that they won’t attack are slim.

This is a bit ridiculous and quite imaginative given these weren't attacks. Title should be how humans aggravated ocean predators with their actions, yet managed to walk away. 1. The barracuda was annoyed that they got too close to it and gave them a warning. Hardly opened its mouth and hit the camera. If it wanted to attack it would have gone for another part on the second hit. 2. The tiger shark was trying to figure out how to get around the diver so he could get that fish. Person just speared a fish, so blood in the water. You might as well ring the dinner bell for the shark. 3. The squid. The guy knew it was injured and put a rope around it. Perhaps where he placed the rope was causing more pain, so it grabbed the board to relieve that. Weird thing is the guys reaction. He put a rope around the squid and pulled it too him, so the squid grabs the underside of the board then the guy freaks out and jumps in the water with the squid. Brilliant guy there. Nice of him to offer help and then decide it cannot hang off the board, but hanging by a rope is all good. I mean what was he planning to do with it? Are we sure he was trying to help it and not just using its poor state as an excuse to remove it from the water? Perhaps he thought it was dead. I mean he put the rope around it and pulled it close to his leg. He only seemed to freak out when it started moving which gives more credence to the dinner option. 4. Leopard Seals are dangerous. This one didn't attack,, but it doesn't mean it won't. Researchers that dive in the areas they live are supposed to look for them before getting in the water and get out immediately if one is spotted. 5. C'mon, you are making a curious Orca into an attacker. They check out boats, divers, just about anything that enters their space. Yes, some boats have been sunk off of Portugal, but some have theorized that they are playing. One bit off the rudder or something like that causing water to come in. The person said it looked like they were playing, "keep away," with it. The guy was so threatened, that he got into a lifeboat and waited an hour, maybe a bit less to be rescued. If he thought they were after him wouldn't he be more alarmed at being in a smaller, easier to puncture boat? Really, Orca attacks on humans in the wild! 6. The Great White. Well, you mentioned in a gloss over manner that the diver got too close to the Great White. Yes, they attack or taste test humans from time to time, but what did this guy expect to happen? He is spearfishing in Great White territory. Can't imagine how bloody fish in the water could entice a shark. Then to actively move towards and attack it with a speargun is just asking for trouble. If that shark was attacking him it would come at him full speed and the diver would lose a chunk of himself. Especially after the first time he tried to stab it with the speargun and they both realized it would not harm it.

Yes I totally agree these were a bunch of silly silly humans way out of their element. Sorry, a saw a lot of dumbassery too. The guy with the squid. Ok I get his heart was in the right place but his head was somewhere where the sun don’t shine. And don’t get me started with the guy and the orca encounter. What a wuss! He blew a perfectly beautiful orca encounter and turned it into a drama Queen fest of attack of the killer whales…. Um orcas. Many of us would have loved to have an encounter with an orca like that but instead “”aaaah help help… the orca is after me… he’s gonna eat me!!!” Dumba$$

The barracudas: Um… that wasn’t out of the blue that it attacked. The diver saw it, continued to to get closer & the barracuda did exactly what you’d expect when getting too close!

The barracuda did nothing…. They kept getting closer to it so it tried to tell them to go away. It hit metal when it tried to give them a warning so it gave up. If a barracuda wants to attack you, you can’t stop it. They are *insanely* fast. The tiger shark was just curious to see if it could get a free meal. Every time it got too close the divers let it know and it respected their boundaries. If a tiger shark is “attacking” it’s not gonna limp it’s way over at 1mph… The squid was literally injured.. they said it... It’s common for injured water life to be unable to regulate their depth so they end up near the surface. It didn’t *force* the diver off his board, the diver panicked. It was attaching to the board in the hopes to gain stability and either get help for its wounds or be able to rest until they heal a bit. The leopard seal didn’t attack either. It was probably telling you to leave its territory. I’m not super familiar with their tendencies, but again… if a marine species wants to attack you, they typically don’t offer you a warning first… Orcas have *never* attacked a human *ever* in history outside of captivity. Wild orcas NEVER attack humans. They’re easily in the top 5 most intelligent animals in the world. Seeing an orca is the safest thing you could possibly see in the water. It means all other predators have either fled or been killed. They’re a blessing. They are the apex predator of the ocean and they *love* humans. The great white shark was trying to figure out what they were. Sharks don’t pass down information through generations like orcas, and are nowhere near as intelligent. Yes the shark was probably trying to figure out if they were food or not. Most sharks decide not, but maybe it would’ve attacked? The octopus acknowledge it was picked up by an individual of a species with far lower IQ than its own and just wants to leave. If it felt threatened it could’ve killed them. It knew it wasn’t picked up by a predator, it was picked up by a moron. Not one of these was an attack by aquatic life. But I guess you got me to watch anyway. Kudos you hack

Yeah the tiger shark part was actual bs, it smelled food, it came. The driver tried to shoot him in the eye. Wtf is wrong with you for posting that as a shark attack. It's like someone else breaks into your house and cooks in the middle of the night, and you go out and get shot in the face. You're obtaining food from it's home, wtf do you expect ??

The egregious use of the modifier "vicious" was also highly irresponsible. 😬👎These creatures aren't vicious. They are doing what they were created to do. Only humans are capable of viciousness. 🤬

I greatly disagree with the Orca trying to attack that guy on the boat. He was only curious and didn’t attack him at all. This guy was just a big scaredy cat. I mean I guess it all the sudden an orca popped up out of the water and I wasn’t expecting it or seen it beforehand I would be alarmed! But I wouldn’t be afraid he was going to attack me. I would have been awestruck that I got the opportunity to meet an orca in the wild. This guy was a silly silly sissy of a man. What a goon!
