I have a trouble spot in an easy song and I need to record myself on video because I think I am doing something with my fingers, or hand position. It is C-B-A-B-A-G and that it is going from the A back to the B again and I get tangled. It is driving me crazy. And it is One measure that repeats throughout the song of course! Ha! But these are all great ideas. I’m a flutist new to harp and it is funny, I am sure I had some of these problems when first learning my flute but it didn’t seem to be fingering but tone, embouchure, that I needed to work on. I don’t need to worry about embouchure anymore!

Haha, no worries about embouchure on harp for sure, but fingering (directional placing!) can be seriously tricky!

Mental stamina. An excellent observation.

@@CoffeeBreakHarp I’m a professional pianist, so I can easily follow your guidelines and the reasoning behind them. I wonder however if you might be able to give more hands on examples at the harp. I’ve resolved most of my buzzing problems as a young harpist, but a close-up view of what actually goes on (right AND wrong) might help those people who do not have professional training in another instrument.

@@alfredbooth6854 Always happy to hear suggestions for new videos! Is there anything in particular that you would like to see from up close? Everyone’s hands are different, and especially when someone arrives at the harp later in life, some adjustments need to be made, and that’s a whole process with lots of feedback (going both ways). There are some areas where it’s easy to address mistakes, but not all of this can be captured as “right” or “wrong”. However I’m always keen to hear suggestions and help with what each player finds challenging!
