Your videos are exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks so much! I’m still at a pretty basic stage in my riding, but lately I can feel certain things are slowly starting to come together. I wish we’d had KZbin in the 80s 😂😂

Wouldn’t that have been a game changer. Although, I think there is something to be said about obsessing over photos in BMX plus until the next issue came out 😃 🤙

I have been looking recently for something to do outdoors, that was challenging and that I could do solo. I had been thinking back to my later teenage years (now creeping up on 40) and the fun I used to have w my old Haro bike trying to learn flatland. I never progressed very far it was a secondary hobby to my aggressive inline skating interests. I came across this video while thinking recently of trying to get into it again, it looks like a lot of fun. You’ve convinced me after 20 years to go buy another bike and give it a shot again

Hey Rich, that is fantastic news. Bikes are a lot different these days to what we rode way back. Although any current bike with pegs will be good. Cheers, man 🤩🤙

this is soooooo much better than other videos i watched years ago with such a steep learning curve.......the way youve laid this out makes the progression easier to manage , thanx bro , how old are u btw ?

Yeah, I find other how to videos tricky because they seem to go from one step that is do-able to another that is … completely out of reach. I am glad I could help. Take care. I will be 48 for a couple more months 🤙

@@bmxbanditdude I can fakie pretty decent, but can't turn out or 180, so i just fall off.
@bmxbanditdude3 жыл бұрын
Are you doing a 180 bunnyhop or a 180 on the front wheel? If you are on the front wheel, are you using brakes for the 180? I am guessing that you are not using brakes. Good. Don't use brakes. If you can, go a little faster, maybe at a fast walking pace, and fling the back around. Then you also need to kind of go over the handlebars. Pretend you are going for a front nose wheelie. Actually, you want to be going to far over so that you are going to fall on your face. Your momentum of the back doing the 180 will stop you from going over the handlebars and instead bring you back down on the back wheel rolling backwards. Maybe try it on smooth grass first? If you go too slow you will go over the bars. I hope this makes sense!

What pressure are you using in the tyres?
@bmxbanditdude2 жыл бұрын
Heya Jammy, I run 110psi. Sometimes I am riding and can't seem to balance or roll and just keep falling off. Then when I check the tyre pressure, it is 100 or lower and realise that this is why. What pressure are you running?
@jammyscouser25832 жыл бұрын
Jeepers, I run 60. Ok, so I'm gonna want higher pressure and as little flex in the tyres as possible. Do you need double walled rims as well? I picked up a BMX again about 6 months ago and have finally understood my body really can't take the abuse it once could. So while I've been healing a knee ligament I've come across your channel and thought this style of riding, although technically difficult, is more physically possible for me and has given me some hope coz I love riding. I'm looking forward to learning more from you when I'm back up and riding
