Just found your channel, trying to create my space to align with who I want to be (ironic!) then I stumbled upon this video! Sometimes when I am perusing KZbin and seeking out the “how to’s” I almost find myself hearing but not listening and rarely does something stick out so forcefully in my own mind that I straighten up, listen and take note however, when I started listening to you my thoughts were going and my ears perked up a little (that was pleasantly surprising) but then you said “Be Assertive with YOURSELF” that’s the key for me, right there. The second was do what you say you’re gonna do for yourself. I hold to my word with others, even if it takes me a little time on the physical things I say I’m gonna to do but taking MYSELF seriously, holding MYSELF accountable, be assertive with MYSELF. Not to be miscunstrued as selfish by any means. I’ve always done for others but left myself behind, drained, inattentive to my own needs and hollow. I will continue to serve others but this is exactly what I’ve needed and needed to hear it. I’ve been navigating blindly, bumping into the same wall, And no doubt God brought this in front of my face for a reason, universe aligning, for real. I promised myself my 40s was gonna be me finally putting the pieces together cohesively, living my best life. So far, that’s been a fact but something was still missing and I keep falling back to old habits within myself. Thank you for this video. Truly captured my attention and the time is now for me to do these things!! ❤

Wayna, I just love you so much girl!! I agree 100% with everything you said in this video. Also I strongly agree that putting other people first is one of the most important things we really need to do in life. For me, it's a way of life and I wouldn't want to do it any other way. It makes me so happy to have the opportunity (and blessing) to be a blessing to someone else. I love seeing other people's lives impacted in big and positive ways. I love the way you love God and make it known. I love your heart and all the things you share. Watching your videos has helped me change my life and this video is the biggest example of that so far.
