While 3 left hand and 4 right hand tuners is less common than 4 left + 3 right on a seven string, it still works just fine - as long as it all fits and looks good when it's done. Sanding the fingerboard to 2000 is a nice touch.

It already had holes in it. I had the feet off of my drum sander (since I put it on casters) just sitting in the drawer, so I bolted them to the beam.
