Some really great tips. We watch alot of KZbin and they're often repetitive, but these are all new to us. Thank you for your hacks indeed.

I didn't know about the awning hooks. Outstanding idea, Amazon offers 24 hooks for $16. I'm picking them up to try. Thank you very much for the information and ideas!

Pole boots good idea. I personally would use the rubber door stops. You can get a pack of them from bunnings for cheap.

Hack 5 - using a carabiner, we attach a guy rope to the eyelets in bottom corners that flap around. Then we peg the rope straight down to the ground. Very secure in strong winds.

Do you guys have a diesel heater?
@RoaminWithTheRubes8 ай бұрын
Hi Tom, no we don’t have one…but have thought about it on many a cold night. It is another item to find a home for. We have sleeping bags rated to minus 5 and these are wonderful, and these have worked well on the nights we’ve had away when it gets down to zero or colder. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers, Lea and Joe.

@@RoaminWithTheRubes thanks! We have -16 bags from Mont, so will be fine sleeping. I was just more thinking about sitting around when we don’t have 240

@@TomWilding1 we just tend to go to bed early LOL. We do sit rugged up rugged up in a blanket some evenings watching a TV series. South western Qld in the middle of winter would have been our coldest locations.

Jon wants to know your secret in pulling those mozzie coils apart, we always snap ours lol @@RoaminWithTheRubes

Hi Tracie and John, sorry we missed your reply. Didn't see the responses with new replies filter. Doh! The mozzie coils are a bit of a pain. I just take it very slowly teasing the two apart. You can light both ends at once and they'll burn pretty well. To me it's not camping without the smell of mozzie coils lol. Safe travels, Joe
