Which swimmer are you? Maybe we missed one? Let us know 🏊‍♂️

I thought this video would be about other types of swimming like snorkelers or freedivers. Are you guys ever going to make videos about that? Yes, it's a channel about triathlon which is a race, but as ollie bridgewood said... "why are we doing it? Why not?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoayoZdpeJKUldE I'd love to see comparisons the way GCN makes between different types of bikes or the way you compared timetrial bikes with triathlon bikes but between swimming fast in a pool, freediving at great depths, snorkeling and looking at animals, scuba diving and so and so forth.

Maybe The retired person. Occasionally, I would go swimming, clearly giving everything I got as an adorable old guy would come in my lane asking if he can join me. And then he swims - vertically in the water- in the middle of the lane, no way of passing him, with the speed of peach pit trying to become a tree. At least he asked nicely :p.

Something is missing to the likes of "The Pool Hero" who clearly needs to work on fundamentals, but chooses to join the 'Fast' lane in multi lane public pools (lanes are speed identified) along side with the Get in and Go swimmers. Not a good mix :p

I have been a swimmer for 10+ years, including competitions. Me and the whole team had all those phases at some point. But one point lasted for ever: super, super long showers.....there is NO person on earth who can take a longer and hotter shower than a swimming team after practice.

I am the Zen swimmer. I love my swim sessions, and I am not a great swimmer, but I love it - warm up, drills, cool down, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, rain, shine, cold, hot. Being in the water is like being on a long run, it's bliss, even when it's hard.

Ugh! I am almost always the last one to leave the change room after a practice. Been swimming for decades and still can't change fast. My heartrate is usually higher when I change than it is when I swim 🤦‍♀️

I'm a get in and go guy. Team practice starts 6:00 am (Lifeguards come in duty then). I dive in and start swimming at precisely 6:00. I get out before practice ends and have to be at work at a 35 minute drive away by 8:00 am. Shower quick dress for work. I brush my hair at the first stoplight I tie my shoes at the second stoplight.

Definitely have a Lot of kit with me, I’m just really indecisive and want options! I’m paranoid of being too slow for my lane, always hanging out in the slowest available. 😅

Entertaining video! While it was focused on personality types, would love a video on different types of swimmers as far as technique goes. I'm curious if I'm a "light kicker" or "over-rotator" etc. and not quite sure how to gauge.

I didn't see the 'I think I'm quicker than I am' swimmer, medium speed paddler happily sat in front of a line of fast lane swimmers.. like the pool version of a caravan on a winding country lane in peak holiday season 😖😖😖

I am so the „get in and go“ guy😂 everything is optimized from arrived at the pool (the exact time school class is about to end) till checking out. 1h 15 min Maximum. 2.5km swimming, showering and already heading back to office included

Me too, definitively the "get in and go". Once the training session done, I can move on to my next activity, which is most of the time going to the sauna and relaxing.

I'm so many of these!! I try to limit my kit and be very focused as to what I'll be working on during a session, but compared to the other swimmers, I use a lot of kit. I'm usually running behind though, so to make the most of my hour and the limited pool availability, I'm also very much a getinandgo. Along the lines of the chlorine hater, I have a lengthy routine to dechlorinate myself and rehydrate my skin.

I’m like mark. I require a lot of mental preparation to actually execute a swim session that once I arrive at the gym nothing prevents me from my swim. I absolutely cannot stand the people who talk the whole time especially when all the lanes are taken! Which reminds me I need to get back in the pool!

What about the people that put on way too much perfume before a swim? The strong smell just stays right above the water line and I can sometimes taste it while breathing in...
