its simple. The reason behind the decreasing delta angle is the increase in the magnitude of the Ea to maintain the Ea*Sin(delta) constant at every instant. And also when the field becomes stronger then then the locked-up becomes more stronger and then load angle=delta angle reduces.

Sir , as you told that as"If" increases , "Ea" also increases, so to maintain "Ef *sin (delta)" constant.....delta value has to be decreased to reduce overall "sin(delta)".

When motor was in lag section, the inductive reactance was more due to which the Ia lag Ea by larger angle and angle between Ea and Estat is also large, as the field excitation increases stator inductive reactance decrease, so theta decrease which results in decrease of the angle between Ea and Estat.... Answer with reference to "4 Equivalent circuit of synchronous generator 7:00 "

Answering the open Question -: Ea sin(del) is constant. So if Ea is increasing then (del) has to be decreasing to keep constant value of Power

Sir.The topic for effect of load change or excitation change does not consider the presence of governor and voltage regulator, right?

Practically..if field curr increases the field get stronger and the attraction between rotor and stator poles increases...which tends to pull the rotor to make rotor field axis as close to stator rotating field axis and the angle between them viz delta reduces.....well I think so..i might be wrong...if it is wrong please correct me...I'll be thankful..😊

sir I think as the motor moves from lagging to leading it means reactive power consumption by the motor decreases so to satisfy this condition delta need to decrease??

The answer is delta is decreasing because of Ea sin(delta)=constant all time to maintain it ,since Ea is increasing .
