This same advice should go to women too, I have learn to respect myself and not let no man mistreat me. I have been there and learn my lesson well. One man that I was showing interest in him only because he showed me first that he like me, we exchange phone numbers and we started texting each other. Whenever he saw me he used to come up to me hug and kiss me. One day when texting me he told me he had a girl, so I told him best that I should leave him alone and I have not texted him since. I think for point 1, there is a difference in revealing to a woman things about yourself that would change her perception of you to be higher value to her that weren't apparent in the beginning, as opposed to having to try to win her over and do all sorts of things, essentially manipulating or pursuing her to try to raise interest in a shallow and temporary way. Especially if you don't have many options, the first way is fine. Just don't get things mixed up.
