Yay! Also... 1. Deceptively strong and surprisingly agile 2. Great at wrestling 3. Likes to be around their family pack, not isolated 4. Expert escape artists with dog pens and baby gates (seriously, I used to have to set up our dog's pen up like Alcatraz and mine would still manage to make a Great Escape. Eventually I gave up.) 5. Look hilarious going down stairs, but pups shouldn't (or jump from high distances) until their plates develop. 6. Herd their family. If they could speak, "don't make me come over there" would be uttered frequently at any rough housing between family members. Ours will interrupt by nominating who gets to throw the ball after chewing out the guilty parties. 7. Think they're Great Danes and get offended if you call them short. 8. Comedians and enjoy mocking or taunting others 9. Very energetic and the Terminators of playing. In fact, Kyle Reese said it best: "Listen, and understand. That Terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are dead."

7 is so real. My niece's corgi has been fully convinced from day 1 that he is a Big Dog and always befriends the Great Danes across the fence at the Big Dog park. He believes it is his job to protect all the Little Dogs. He used to have a boxer as his girlfriend who was twice his size.

My Hime was a corgi mix. She was just amazing! She crossed the rainbow bridge a year ago. But I will always remember her antics, her sweet nature, her appetite, her talent for dancing and singing...basically everything! I miss u, my lovely Hem2x!

They are insanely strong in proportion to their size. Oh…and their incredible intelligence. Things new corgi owners need to know before getting a corgi: 1. They shed ALL year round, your whole house is gonna be filled with fur, it will get on your clothes and everything 2. I know they look cute and its hard not to give them treats but keeping them at a healthy weight will reduce back problems and result in a longer life span 3. Avoid letting them use the stairs after a certain age due to their short legs and long back

My Corgi Abraham died last year. He lived to be 13.5 years old which is okay for corgi years. You have to be carful because when corgis get old their back legs go out. We bought him a ramp so he could walk outside the porch and stuff but unfortunately we had to put him to sleep because my parents and I didnt want him to suffer. He couldnt walk and it hurt him every time he got up. Just keep an eye open for it when they get older. I think taking them on lots of walks helps too. Corgis are also SUPER smart and they love to play ball.

Pembroke ones do not have that long tail, the Cardigan ones have a long tail

Noland Ryan, Only sometimes they are born with no tails, or shorter ones. Most of the time the tails are docked. Soomin Cheon, I found no evidence of this in my own dog, from local veterinarians, or a google search. (my vet even stated "most dogs have tails") Diana Dalangin, Both can have long tails. Nabonita talukdar, Docking, when done proffesionally, is painless. Docking is generally only preformed when the dog is 2 - 3 days old. At that age it's nerves are not fully developed, therefore it cant feel any pain. And by the time it develops it wont even remember the ordeal. Docking is only done in adolescence for medical reasons. (Not to be confused 'medical reasons' does not include, according to my vet, back problems. But more so infections and such.)

My Corgi, Pebbles, would hide under the bed or behind the couch during thunderstorms, but she would leave her fluffy butt sticking out every time. And when she would back out from behind the couch, I'd make a beeping sound like a truck backing up. I guess she learned the association between her backing up and that noise because I would randomly start making beeping sounds and she's start waddling in reverse lol.

i "own" a corgi (my family does) and what i can say, not just a lot, let's say, in a 1 month span during spring you can get around an entire garbage bag worth if you have the fluffy corgis. but if you work hard enough, you can have 3 garbage bags worth of sheddings.
