Thank you for this informative video. Being retired from the motion picture industry, I am fortunate to have some passive income. However, Gabrielle's videos help me save money that can be used for things that are more fun. 😊

just fyi you could rent almost any car on turo for a couple of days for like 3-400 bucks to satiate your curiosity. Also fast fashion exists to allow you to experiment with certain looks/styles without sinking in a ton of money. for example back in 2013 i was into rick owens but tried out cheap brands like allsaints, and random tees on urban outfitters. only wore those clothes like 10 times. I think we all go through phases and the only way to learn is to make those mistakes to help us realize what's wrong.

very informative. i think im practical in my spending habits. my vice is im a lazy cook and i always want to eat something good. i wish i lived in a more walkable city. because everything is far from me, i tend to order food delivery which can really add up. when i traveled to tokyo, i actually spent less on food even though i ate out 1-2x per day.

When it comes to tech, audio equipment tend to be the ones that keep their value the most. Every other piece of tech get out dated within a year. That being said, always buy an old top tier model before, buying a new budget model. They're usually built better to last longer.

I feel like this is all just common sense, but I'm always baffled by how different people usually think. On fast fashion though: I seriously haven't found any brand that lasts long, but maybe I haven't been looking for long and I need to learn about the materials more.

good common sense tips. I fall into the category of buying new cars. I keep saying I wont; do it again but end up doing it because I like the latest gadgets on cars. I like to buy a plug in to do my part on the environment but man they are expensive. i will keep my 2017 CRV and just drive it to the ground .

Maybe delay this strategy until you have an electric car as it costs less to run and maintain

With tech new releases it can be tricky these days, it could depend more on the person actual use case

im still using my iphone x. im holding out for the iphone 15. its wasteful to buy the latest release every single year though since the changes are so incremental.
