I agree. I don’t think poking fun or teasing is good for a relationship. It feels more like a friend thing than a romantic partner thing to me. Plus, it can spiral out of control in the long run, and become a difficult habit to break. I’m sure it’s fine for some people, but I don’t like it for my relationships. I guess it has to be done in the right way and not get too personal or offensive, which can be a fine line after you’ve been with someone for a long time.

I think if they make jokes to make you laugh like pulling your leg/made you look type jokes it’s probably not a big deal (had a guy do this recently). When the “joke” is an insult about you steer clear. However after my experience with a “playful” narcissist for many years I’m leary of playful “funny” guys in general. When I was younger I liked guys that made me laugh. Married one and he became my biggest nightmare and turned out to not be cheerful and funny AT ALL behind closed doors. The exact opposite. Then I have to be the one to call them back for a second date. But the third date I can be hands off and they start taking more initiative. Hi! I need advice. I've just met a guy who is 2 years younger than me and is extremely shy. We just started working together and since neither of us is very social, we ended up spending a lot of time together after work on weekends. I have a partner that I love very much. I had the feeling that this guy and I could be friends since we are both very comfortable around each other, and it's not piece of cake for us to find people to connect with. He used to kiss me but doesn't now .. we go to the bar even though he likes me he gets other numbers.... In fact .. conveying all this to you I feel like I'm going crazy...
