We have Morristown Hamblen Hospital operated by Covenant Health. They recently opened an ER/DR office secondary location in the Merchants Greene area. Tennova runs Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. There is an abundant supply of doctors and specialists in the area. Of course Knoxville is roughly an hour away and they have several hospitals including UT Hospital, Fort Sanders, and other Tennova operated hospitals.

I can't speak for all of TN as I only cover East TN between Knoxville and the Tri-Cities. Housing costs have definitely increased over the past 4 years, as has everything else. Our average home price in Hamblen County runs between $280K to $300K
