I've found that my voice is the instrument that I have the best command over and thus affords me the most creativity. Hi Helen you totally nailed the Improv, when you sang and the played those same notes. You have to play the notes that are in your head and know exactly how it will sound before you actually play them. You have to have some basic fretboard memorization for improv.

When doing the call and response type of things it is a good idea to make the parts clearly different. I often play one part legato with a lot of hammer ons and pull offs and the other part staccato picking every note and often muting it.Often changing location on the neck too. Nice video.
