Thanks, very useful tips. I've had my Wide 300 only a couple of weeks and thought I knew all its quirks but you came up with a few I missed. Is it really true that leaving the batteries in an unused camera for more than a week will damage it?
@GoneWithFilm4 жыл бұрын
It's the acid from leaking batteries that actually damage the camera. You can leave batteries on camera for longer as long as your batteries are good quality and don't leak, just make sure to inspect regularly. It's still nice to get into the habit of removing batteries though since a lot of Instax users are new to cameras and use the cheapest batteries available.
@crawfordprojects22394 жыл бұрын
@@GoneWithFilm Fair point. I think premium batteries will not leak so much and can be left in place safely. Cheap batteries will definitely give you problems.

Hi, I have a question. When I take a picture with this camera usually it cames dark at the background because of the flash, that can't be shoot down. Which setting should I use? I mean, fill the flash, light it, darken it and so on. Thank you in advance
@GoneWithFilm3 жыл бұрын
You can't really do much about the background because of the limitations in the 300's hardware. Choosing "lighten" might help a little but it can only adjust so much.The simplest and best way to overcome this is to shoot in brighter light. However, if you have an external flash unit- those that are usually used with DSLRs- there's a way to use them with the Instax cameras. Using external flash will allow you to use some creative lighting techniques to light up that background.
@karissamahirah16063 жыл бұрын
@@GoneWithFilm thank you so much for the solution and the tips, it was very helpful. but unfortunately I don't have an external flash. when I take a photo in a bright place, the result is still dark. Do I have to turn on flash and light mode when it's bright?

Very helpful advice for a pretty cool camera. I also have the 210 and I'm not even sure why I bought the 300 ! Basically the same camera ! I really wish Fuji would wise up and make a more advanced wide that has modes like the Mini 90 Neo Classic and a better flash or a hot shoe and the ability to turn off the flash ! Though it's certainly not close to as good as it could be, I still enjoy using it and get pretty decent images ! But if my 90 Neo Classic shot wide I'd be much happier. LarryMac

Yeah I have an SQ6 and would prefer the advanced features on Wide too. I got too tired of waiting for Fujifilm and made converted cameras instead.

Thanks for the video. I think mine got turned on in my bag and since then when I take pictures, there has occasionally been an overexposed part forming a ring in the center of the image. I suppose this is due to light leaks. Is there any way to fix this?
@GoneWithFilm3 жыл бұрын
If it's still working, the lens just probably got moved a little out of position. There are some light seals in the lens barrel that could be affected. The only way I know to fix that would be to disassemble and reassemble the lens assembly.

Can we store theae pictures on a memory card ?
@GoneWithFilm Жыл бұрын
The Instax Wide 300 is purely an analog camera so the prints are one of a kind. You can either scan them on a scanner or take a digital picture of them and then transfer that to SD card. There are also several hybrid cameras from Fujifilm like the Instax Mini Evo and Liplay that save the pictures on SD card and you can choose which pictures to print.

Hello. I lost my battery door. Is there any remedies for me to use the camera again?
@GoneWithFilm2 жыл бұрын
The camera will still work without a battery door but the batteries will easily get misaligned or can fall out if hit physically. Best option is to look for a broken Instax 300 for parts, or buy a door online.

I don’t know where to find a close-up lens but I want one
@GoneWithFilm3 жыл бұрын
It comes in the standard retail box if you bought yours new. They're sometimes available for sale on ebay bu they're pretty hard to find. It's the same model as the one for the Instax 210. If you can't find one you can use screw-on closeup lenses for DSLRs, just tape them to the lens. They won't be as easy to use though.
@isaachansen70223 жыл бұрын
@@GoneWithFilm yeah I just bought mine from a friend so that’s why I don’t have the close-up. Thanks, I’ll have to keep looking!

Hi, so the gears in my camera jumped because the camera tried to open while in my backpack. Is there any way I can fix the gears myself or should I just buy a new one?
@GoneWithFilm4 жыл бұрын
If the it's the lens gears that jumped out of track, there's a chance that you can still snap them back in place. They're the ones that can be seen from back of the camera when it's opened-they extend and retract the lens. However if it's in the motor gears or another linkage, those are well inside the camera and can't be put back in place without disassembling the camera.
@PeteBoyd4 жыл бұрын
Fujifilm replaced my camera when this happened

If totally black, there's a problem with the shutter mechanism. If its dark only when indoors but pictures are ok outdoors, then it might be just the flash isnt firing.

The first 2 tips are not people using the camera wrong but a design flaw, meaning the manufacturer did not think things through.
