Most of mediation for divorce is not about compromise because they haven't been able to compromise in the first place is what led to the divorce. This seems like a rose-colored glasses approach in this video. When you're dealing with a narcissist or a highly conflict personality, there are games and manipulations going to be attempted at mediation. This seems like in this video it's a Pollyanna approach

Most divorce mediations do result in a settlement. That doesn't mean mediation will be successful in every case. Even with difficult personalities in the mix, it's possible to compromise and reach an agreement. But no one is being forced to reach an agreement--either party can end the mediation if they are uncomfortable

Mediation itself is one day, though you can schedule multiple mediations in a case. If you reach an agreement at mediation, there is still additional work to complete the divorce.
