Can we use heat press instead of heat gun?

I never used a heat press to heat the puff, but I don’t think it will give the same heat transfer that a heat gun perfectly gives, especially in between the letters.

Is it best to use dense foam? Like from gunold?

For sweaters or soft garments I recommend the normal classic gunold puff.
