Actually, if you ever find/rescue a raped person or someone who's experienced a trauma and is crying, newer research shows that you are definitely allowed to cry too, if you feel pain for them. People actually respond better when they get mirrored, in pain too. It would validate their feelings in a way that makes them feel less alone. But if they are not crying, it's not mirroring and it may feel like a burden to them. So it's all about how they react to the trauma.

That story made me so sad. I think crying with someone would be a bit comforting. When she says "I could have been nicer" I just want to rip that mans throat out....no matter if you're bitchy or reject someone that doesn't justify what that turd did. He got embarrassed...boo hoo. I really hope she's doing better
@bruggeman672
@bruggeman672 3 жыл бұрын
@@Emily-lh6em some people don't take humiliation well. Honestly I thought it was refreshing to see people can learn to be better even in terrible situations. There really was no need to be as rude as she was and no I am not condoning violence; just saying a little civility goes a long way.... Edit and I am curious what u feel justified her rude comment in the first place?

Haven't gotten to the story you're talking about yet, but when it comes to panic filled or traumatic situations that aren't my own [I have panic attacks from a changing schedule, I'm an odd bird, I can't help it.] I tend to go into kind of a calm mode or robot mode, I'm all logic and rationalization. I honestly should've become a paramedic or nurse or something because blood and gore doesn't bother me too much and I shut off my emotions to become an eye of the storm. I don't even know why I react this way. I'm not experienced with dealing with traumatic situations, but when everyone else's stress is been shot up, Mine comes all the way down. ... Granted I also have the opposite effect sometimes. My stress sky rockets when everyone else's isn't there. -.-;;; I've got something wrong with my brain. =P

A young guy at a *bar* met a 60 something year old woman who he immediately noticed looked great for her age. The young guy drank a few beers when the woman turned to him and asked, "have you ever been with a mother and daughter?" The man shook his head no, immediately excited by the idea because if she looked that good her daughter must be gorgeous. They talked a while more when she grabbed his hand and winked, saying, "this is your lucky night!" and drove him back to her place. She turned on the lights and shouted upstairs, *"Mom! Are you still awake?!"*

Had a night of drinking, was pissing in an alley when I heard a girl crying. Looked over and a man was beating her. I went over and a fight started between us. I was pretty drunk so I absorbed the blows, started to jack him up. Girl then attacked me and they got upper hand. Cops came and tried to arrest me. That was 1998 and I still help others but very cautiously. Most people no matter the case don't want help.

We need to hear more stories that take place in bars. There's too many "sexually molested, drank a roofie, woke up to find someone stole my organs" stories circulating that take place in NIGHT CLUBS. Bars and Pubs are the older architectural establishments, so let's have some exciting/terrifying stories from there.

Yes it was. I admit, I had tears in my eyes. I lost my best friend in a car crash. I say crash instead of accident because I believe it was deliberate. She was married but was separated and was seeing a guy who seemed obsessed with her. She was getting ready to reconcile with her husband. The boyfriend had just worked on her car (brakes) the day before the crash. Not long after that the boyfriend shot and killed a guy in a bar in another town and went to prison.

"I could have been nicer" No. Absolutely not. You are in no part to take responsibility for what happened. Nothing you could have said or done rationalizes or shifts any amount of blame to you. That....person showed what he was. If it wasnt you it would have been someone else and if he did it to one person he unfortunately did something similar to someone else in the past. You are in absolutely, not even one bit, to blame. I wish you and to others reading this, security, love, contentment in the future.
@dahliacheung6020
@dahliacheung6020 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, she could have been nicer. There was no need to call him a loser as that's extremely rude, immature behavior. However in the context of what happened she is in now way at fault. As you said, maybe he would've just gone on to assault someone else. However I think that even if he'd let him down gently, he still would have attacked her because it's not about politeness with these guys; it's about entitlement and not giving them what they want. He was a bad dude and yeah, he was a loser, so even though she could have just said "No thanks," and left it like that, the issue and the blame lies fully with him and not with her. No matter what anyone does, they deserve to be safe from things like assault. It saddens me that many see it differently

I was in a Masonic lodge party. Back in the 90s. Someone turned of the lights. Then fighting broke out and gunshots. I saw a man get shot in the stomach. As I was close to the exit. I pulled my friend out the door. We ran out and some other girls yelled for us to get into their vehicle. The vehicle was packed up. All i heard was gun shots. At the end of it all 2 people dead. Seven people wounded. That was one of the most traumatic events I have ever been through. I don't even know what started it.

These were all just so sad. And the second to last story where the victim said she should have been nicer, maybe, but her being stuck up to the creep doesn't mean that he should beat and rape her. And of course there is never a good enough excuse to do that to another human being. Though if she had been nice and accept the drink from him, he might have pressured her into having sex with him when she may not have wanted too. Again, I'm not saying it would have happened, just that it might have. He did sound like a desperate fool. Glad he was caught, one less creep on the streets.

Keep up the good work, listening to scary stories puts me into focus mode for some reason. I attended one of your streams a while ago for the first time and it was a good time. Keep up the good work and I’ll be waiting the Halloween special :)

We sure do know how to make a good pint. If you want a quality Irish beer go to a rural pub in Ireland. Over hear we start drinking young❤️🇮🇪

You also close your bars too damn early!! Or was i only in the tourist trap ones? Only one i found stayed open past midnight was in Dublin haha. Gods i wish i could go back there, loved every minute in your amazing country. Also not much of a beer drinker, but i definitely developed an unhealthy obsession with Bulmers cider while i was there ha

@@irishrepublican3739 thnx im trying! And yes, i told ALL my friends about the bushmills? whiskey i had there, after my trip when they wanted to drink i would only buy bushmills if we wanted whiskey, a little hard to find in u.s. but not bad. Almost a pity i dont drink like that really anymore haha Have a good day thnx for the wave of reminiscence!

The world needs men like that who knows maybe they would have never had the opportunity to get married he could have killed her that night may be getting Tunes taught him a lesson I personally think if you want to walk about anyone squawk about the woman who married the guy she was harassing strangers to get away from I never went to anybody's house screaming and begging to be let in but I did date an asshole once and I left him cuz he was physically violent no way on Earth would I marry that loser.

I think it’s almost like a big conspiracy Because he whines and complains like a little b*tch? I’ve never met a veteran who bitches about nothing. They kinda have bigger things on their mind. Like not losing it. The way you’re getting all riled up, I’m starting to think you’re the asshat in question.
