Well, to be fair, when I was a lil' teeny bopper going out to try on a Spongebob bikini at some little tiki-hut beach store, the crotch area smelled like strait up piss, ammonia, sulfur, bus exhaust, and expired nacho cheese. Yeah, it's been years, and I'll never forget that horrible stench. I'm glad I had the sense to sniff first. I don't care if I was going to keep my underwear on like you're supposed to, whoever did before me most likely did NOT. XO Some nasty folks out there. WORD OF ADVICE. NO. NO WE DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE LAYOUT. STOP. NO. "I have to stop here for a minute and tell you..." "this is important to the story!" THEN LEARN HOW TO INCLUDE THAT IN THE STORY
@Shanghaimartin4 жыл бұрын
I feel you, bro. Any story that includes, let me just explain the layout of X, Y or Z instantly switches me off. Same with stories that inexplicably require a cast of a dozen characters I need to instantly learn.
@XENOS_Indie_Game_Dev4 жыл бұрын
I used to like listening to these stories, there are some very good ones, but a majority of them are very sketchy (or just fake) and alot of people embellish their supposedly real life stories because of internet attention.
@sitdownbehumble86754 жыл бұрын
Unpopular opinion: These people are everyday folks who took the time to tell their (sometimes traumatic) stories. Because most people aren't Hemingway or Doyle, it's often better for the listener to just get the details out of the way first (as quickly as possible). The reason being that, if you stop in the middle of a story to explain details that are important, such as: "I heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs slowly. I was terrified. Now, my mom's bedroom was upstairs and my brother was away that day. The basement had very long staircase going down, they were very creaky and we also blah blah blah." then you sort have to interrupt the story to share these details. If you aren't the best writer, the story can start to be become shambolic and meandering, which everyone hates. So if you're looking for talented authors and those who "know how to include that in the story", then don't listen to personal stories told by everyday people - go read published authors who can live up to your standards. No one is going to take a writing course just to satisfy your need for a perfectly organized story.

And as for the guy that shot up the factory it's Soo sad but his wife leaving and taking the baby was the icing on the cake what a bitch, and same for those guys bullying him but that's guy isn't totally blameless because he killed all those people. This is why we have to watch how we treat people🙄

I feel bad for that guy who killed all those people. I understand why he did it, but I don’t agree with it. The management should have looked at the cameras or something instead of just firing him.

To the young woman that experienced the guy committing suicide, I wish that she or her family would have reached out to the local authorities. Some states set up victim units that assist w/ social workers, counselors, or therapists for free or low cost.

If it was a “joke from the other guys on the line,” then why would he be written up? Why would they continue the harassment? Adults are no better than children when it comes to bullying. Many times they are worse than children. We tell our kids not to bully, but don’t take our own advice? It’s effed up. I was bullied out of my last workplace. Luckily I found a new job right away where everyone is kind to one another. I am blessed for sure. But the spawn of Satan at my last job has moved on to other targets, so much so that they had a flood of great employees rage quit on the spot and LPNs (LVNs) in tears as of last week. I have a good friend that works there but her husband won’t work and she makes six digits a year. She’s stuck, but wants to leave so badly. Bottom line, be kind, even if it’s just a “good morning” or “have a good night.” And for the love of God, don’t gossip. It makes you look like trash and doesn’t help anyone.

Honestly I think the guy that lost his job, family and life because of his coworkers "joke" was justified...those people are fuckin awful and destroyed him and they deserved to die.

I feel absolutely horrible for the guy who lost his wife, child, and job. Everything he loved in life dissolved right in front of his eyes all becomes some fucking entitled pricks thought it was funny to bully and harass him to the point he was fired. I don’t condone his actions but I understand why he lost it the way he did. I couldn’t find a news article about it so I’m not sure if the story was true but I really hope it’s not.

The scariest of all these stories is the part where that medical debt was transferred to the dad after the grandmother passed away. Wtf America

Its not true though my sister passed and all her bills were considered void thats why it didnt make sense because social security was the one that informed me about that "once someone dies any and all bills they incurred are consided void or paid unless there is a cosigner" so maybe that's what it was
@annie_xo4 жыл бұрын
Lupe Diaz I actually saw a video about debt and collection agencies in the US a while ago and apparently the collections agents can essentially trick someone into taking on someone else’s debt after they pass, by relentlessly using very pressuring, aggressive, threatening language while not informing the person isn’t legally required to do so unless asked, or put in hard-to-understand terms in the fine print. Shady as hell.

I can relate most to the sixth story. I've been a victim of workplace bullying before, and believe me, it can drive you to the brink. Though I think it makes sense as to why the gunman murdered all those store employees, justice wasn't truly done. That's what happens most of the time when bullying is involved.

I feel lucky my time in retail was only bothered by one extremely horrible manager and a guy watching women in the bathroom over the top of the stall...yes he got caught; no I was not in the bathroom at any point during it. We actually had to use the "employee bathroom" which was a single toilet in a room with no sink upstairs in the warehouse of the bathroom. There was a double sink just outside the bathroom where we could wash our hands, dishes, etc. But unless it was an emergency, we weren't to use the "public bathroom" this guy was in that Saturday morning. I'm glad I didn't have any of these happen to be though the Game Stop one made me laugh. All Hail the Buttersock Cult! Pizza is being served under quarantine conditions. Be Safe all and Thanks again Joel for these stories. Binge listening while down with the flu!
