He was awful, so rude. Calls the suicidal person selfish but really it's hi that's selfish AF. Oftentimes, those who are suicidal are in so much pain that they see dying as the only escape from it, hand it's not that they don't care about their loved ones they're leaving behind; they either think that the person with be better off without them not around or that the person wouldn't even notice if they disappeared. Utterly heartbreaking

Andrew Lynch I mean it’s fine to be suicidal, it’s fine to not want to feel pain anymore, but going through with it is selfish, especially if your family is very close with you who knows who else would end their life because you made that decision, like yes I feel bad for people who want or do commit suicide but at the same time when they do it I don’t understand how they would willingly put their family and friends through that

I knew a guy online, he lived in London, I'm in the USA, we met on a game called and he was one of few people I remained friends with on the game for over two years so I "leveled him up" as a friend by adding him as a friend on FB and we remained friends for years after that. He eventually started talking about his father a lot and wanting to kill himself because of his dad but wouldn't say what was actually going on. He then said he was going to kill himself and I saw the message that he had sent during the night while I was sleeping so I had no way to talk him out of it, it had been several hours ago and it could already be too late. I spent two weeks crying nonstop, going through serious depression and grief, barely eating, mostly curled up in bed. I was about 15 years old at the time. Then, after quite some time had passed and I was still sad but on the other side of it, I had put myself back together mostly, but then suddenly, he started messaging me again but he acted like nothing happened, like we had just spoken the day before. He said I was crazy when I asked about him killing himself. However, a week later, he admitted that he had and that he just didn't want to talk about it because he had tried and failed and had been put in the Hospital and had some people watching him for a time. Then he said he would really be killing himself and it happened all over again . . . and again . . . and again . . . and again . . . I lost count of how many times I grieved over him. I was not okay and thinking of taking my own life, I struggled with that, but I kept thinking of all the stuff I wanted to do with my life and how I knew exactly how my family would feel. It was like an argument going on in my own head that I wasn't a part of, like being a small child while your parents argue about who gets to have you. Eventually, I did something that to this day I have no idea if it was the right or smart thing to do or not. I posed as my sister and messaged him that I was dead and that was why my account would be abandoned. It may be cliche but a part of me did die from what I went through. I do have sympathy for people who struggle with that choice.

I knew 2 creeps that tried to make similar justifications. For whatever reason, all creeps (men or women) refuse to believe that that someone isn't interested or that what they're doing is inappropriate. Some will even go so far as to blame that person because they don't take responsibility or admit they're wrong. Only thing that guy got right was that they're insecure. He's not going to mention that people like him are precisely why we can't help being cautious. Those creeps are not owed someone else's love, time, or attention. Especially if they do any of these actions.

In the mind of a suicide there is no options, just the sheer weight of the hopelessness and inability to see any other way out, in the mind of the ones who loved them and are left heartbroken and confused and not knowing how we missed it we need to remember how dark it must have been for them to pick that final option and it was about their sadness, not our happiness. Hopefully we learn to pay closer attention when we think someone may be struggling. But it's their choice, not ours. All we can do is show love and appreciation while we have the chance.

I had to stop listening to this when it got onto the subject of suicide, and saying that it was the most selfish thing someone can do. My uncle killer himself because he was ill, would never get better, only worse, and the pain was too much for him. I can understand why he did it as I now have that illness and despite opioids the pain can not be controlled easily. It was hard for him to make that decision, but he did it in a clean way, away from family being able to find him. I know a professional had to find him but they do know that that may be part of the job. I won’t do it, I’m not in as much pain as he was right now, but I can put myself in his shoes and it’s hurtful to hear people say it was selfish. I feel it would be more selfish for us to have stopped him as we didn’t have to feel his pain.

@kyleblankenship6183
@kyleblankenship6183 5 жыл бұрын
@@Nerobyrne Id have to agree that most of his claims about how stalkers are were definitely wrong. Number one his stalking or "passion" is obviously an obsession and when you're passionately obsessed with something you don't want to loose it so in most cases giving ANY attention to these kinds of people further the problem. They hang on to whatever fantasy they creat in their head and cling to whatever attention they get even be it negative and some how view it as an opening or a sign. It's extremely rare that a genuine stalker simply stops stalking a person simply because they ask'ed them nicely and said "please". They're possessive and have some delusional sense of entitlement. The writer proceeds to refer to the woman he stalked as "his girls" and they should be flattered. That in itself is a red flag that brings up my next point. More than most stalker are borderline violent. As I said earlier, when you passionately love something enough it's hard to let it go and obviously no one likes rejection. When pushed to the bring if the obsession overtakes the person's life and the center of their well being then THAT'S where the whole "If I can't have you no one can" usually comes into play and while on the surface not all stalkers have violent tendencies the obsessiveness and compulsions become addicting. That particular addiction leads to shady behavior that usually follows up with eventual crossing over to commiting crimes,ones of which could turn violent. The writer himself tried to say he was just "passionate"but harmless then proceed to explain how to make fake website to get access to accounts and then get Intel and even went as far as explain how to break in to house and steal panties. Those are all telling signs of eventual violent behaviors.

I literally had to skip the third story, dug up a lot of painful feelings hearing all that malice. I went through terrible abuse growing up as well has a sexual assault, I was in so much pain and nothing I did was good enough to my abuser. I was bullied at school and then abused at home, there was no safe space for me. I had literally given up on life at 10 years old. When I got to be 13 I made my first suicide attempt. I wasn't being selfish, I was in agony I didn't understand and I wanted it to end. Then I got into two abusive relationships back to back leading into adulthood. During one of those relationships a drunk man darted in front of my car at night on a fast street, I couldn't swerve and ended up hitting him and he died in front of me on the scene. I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, at that point my life spiraled and I struggled for a long time. I attempted again and relapsed on self harm. It got worse when I left him, he had destroyed me mentally, physically, and financially. From then on I made an oath to myself to only surround myself with people who treat me with kindness and respect. I reconnected with people my exes forced me to sever ties with and got my life back. Now I'm 28, I am so incredibly proud of the progress I've made. Most of the hard work was me but some of it was the good people in my life being empathetic, patient, and understanding helped me walk away from suicide multiple times. I know own my own company, I make art and sell it, everything from sculptures, digital art, and painting. I have a wonderful marriage and I work part time with amazing people at a local smoke shop. Life is so good and I'm so glad I got here. I have also lost people to suicide that I love very much, two uncles of mine killed themselves. I do not hate them and I can empathize because I've been there and I almost didn't make it back and I will miss them every day for the rest of my life. Our brains get sick and some of us don't survive but by being kind and understanding you greatly increase the chance of survival. Being calloused and unkind towards mental health sufferers does so much damage and can make the situation worse. Remember always be kind, you have no idea what people have gone through or are currently going through. And blessed be.

I'm sorry but it's kind of universal that the opinion of thinking that "committing suicide is selfish regardless of context" is a shitty opinion to have. Sure it may come from a place of hurt, and it's certainly an opinion, you have to accept that certain opinions are just bad opinions to have. Especially if you state it to someone who may have suffered from suicidal thoughts or who've survived it, and they have the right to be upset.

My dad abducted me when I was almost four. I actually remember some of the stuff that happened. I remember him and my mom were fighting and he had been staying somewhere else. He came to our trailer and he snatched me. My mom came running after him. He set me down and walked up to my mom. He was hitting her, and she fell on the ground. She didn't move and I thought she was dead. He picked me back up and I looked at her she was a crumpled little pile on the ground and I looked over his shoulder walking away and she never moved. I thought my mom was gone. We walked him carrying me until it got dark and cold. We went to some lady's house and she gave my dad some little boys pants for me, that were too long and big boys shoes for my feet, so my dad didn't have to carry me. I don't remember how I got found though. I think my heart had broke and I just went numb for a long time. When Dad grabbed me I was just wearing a t shirt and underpants with no shoes. I don't know what happened next.

Stalker point of views are always so interesting, I love knowing how their minds work and just what they think. I don't think the person was an "Incel" since they stopped and left when the girl asked them to, or when she said please, but he is still very twisted and such. Incel - An incel is a member of an online subculture of people who define themselves as unable to get a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one. Discussions in incel forums are often characterized by resentment and hatred, misogyny, misanthropy, self-pity and self-loathing, racism, a sense of entitlement to sex, and the endorsement of violence against women and sexually active people. The American nonprofit Southern Poverty Law Center described the subculture as "part of the online male supremacist ecosystem" that is included in their list of hate groups. Incels are mostly male and heterosexual, and many sources report that incels are predominantly white. Estimates of the overall size of the subculture vary greatly, ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands of members.

Their POVs interest me as a subject of study as well, but more akin to the way one studies viruses and serial killers (with the latter being closely related to incels.) Still, as a person with highly sensitive empathy (not in the ESP sense, I don’t think), it scares me to delve too deeply into their mindset. I don't want to “absorb” anything from them besides ways to counter them.
