8:04 mike left out some very important info on this mod that ill elaborate on. basically, there was a man who was so obsessed with the mod that he was sacrificing sleep for the mod. in the mod, standing still caused "the assasin" to appear, and it will slowly kill you. the man wanted to uncover why this mod existed, since no one was going to sacrifice that much time to do it (the mod was extremely difficult to obtain and he was one of the only people who had a playable version of the mod, since the mod usually when downloaded just deletes your save data and that it). the man was playing the mod from 2005-2015, which is a literal decade, and mike didnt really specify the length it would take for the hallucinations to happen. the man, from the lack of sleep made the man basically go insane from the game and started to dream about the assasin in his sleep and hallucinated the assasin at night. from what i know, the mod is real, but the mans experience may not actually be real, im not sure. it is a creepypasta after all. im just elaborating on what i know about the situation.

With Polybius, it's kinda easy to explain a lot of it. With the graphical limitations and all the objects, it most likely induced seizures and headaches. The number of moving objects within the game most likely caused an effect similar to flashing lights. Even if you don't have epilepsy, that's still hard on the eyes (I would know, I got a bit of a headache just looking at the footage for the Polybius section, not sure what game that is though). So those who are photo sensitive like I am, it'll cause a headache and some visual distress. Can't explain the rest of it though... >.> (I'm really glad this is just an urban legend)

Here is my theory about the corrupted majora's mask: There really was a lad called Ben and his favorite game was-you guessed it- majora's mask and he really did drown. Just fyi Herobrine isn’t really an urban legend or myth per-say, certain things are like his backstory, hoax videos and various rumours on how to spawn him are but he does exist in the form of a glitch/hidden features even if he’s incredibly rare to come across legit, hence the confusion. Herobrine is basically like the MissingNo glitch, there’s a lot of myths around it and many claimed it as a playground rumour until people found a reliable way of finding it, just with Herobrine we never really a reliable spawn trigger so few found him legit and many faked hence why a lot of people just wrote it off as a myth. In other words, troll videos, the creepypasta, the story about notch’s brother, game mods, spawn tutorials etc are all more or less fake/not legit But Herobrine, as a rare mob with unusual AI behaviour and seemingly a broken Steve texture, is not a rumour but an extremely rare existing feature, just trust me on that one, I know
