The wastewater treatment plant for our region is right in my suburb! I love it and visit it every time it opens for visitors to see how it all works! The produced methane is trapped to generate electricity for the plant and after many, many stages the end runoff gets fed to a wasabi field before being released into the ocean. That shit's so cool! :P

If you compare the view counts on Quiz show and Talk show episodes to normal Scishow videos, you’ll find that the quiz shows and talk shows generally have MUCH lower views It’s a pity cause I loved those quiz shows, but apparently they’re just less attractive to general audiences. Speaking of dysentery.... Graham Chapman of Monty Python was actually a trained medical doctor (he got his degree, but went on to write comedy instead of finishing his post-doctoral training). He was both the main star of "Life of Brian" and the staff physician. When he was off-camera, one of the main things he treated people for was dysentery (and scorpion stings, being in Tunisia). Pretty cool, huh?

Just because shrews are small and furry with longish tails (depending on the species) and long, pointy whiskery noses does not make them rodents. They're not, not even remotely, other than they are both placental mammals. They're actually more closely related to primates like us, especiallytree shrews. They may be the closest living group to the primates in fact.

I failed my Earth Science class in the 7th grade. Way back when Middle schools were called Junior High Schools. Way back before you guys were born. If I had ever had teachers like all of you I might have learned to love science and been a better student.

I am actually SUPER passionate about the movement to save the honeybees. Does anyone know the names of the organisations who are behind the research of using the animal dung chemicals to protect hives? I would love to donate to the research!!
