In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access the guide (in addition to our 4-part video series on Choosing the Right Stroller for your Lifestyle, and other helpful content), as well as contact us directly on Patreon: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 These materials are also available via channel membership on KZbin: www.youtube.com/@BarnevognverkstedNo/membership , and BuyMeaCoffee: buymeacoffee.com/thestrollerworkshop

Can’t wait for your full review! I have a first generation Mamas and Papa’s Armadillo. It has survived four kids and tons of international travel. Not sure whether it will survive baby number 4. We’ll see. ☺️

Why you always criticise Ant? I have been Jung using Ant for 2 years. When my baby was 6 months old, I was thinking of travelling alone with the baby. Have tried many brands, Ant is definitely the choice. For small baby, it can face mother, it can be pushed right next to the plane seats, it has mesh pocket at the back so I don’t have to remove much when folding. I also bought the ant bag which can be attached to the handler. Till today, the Ant looks just like new. The so called “moving handler” is actually a mechanism that you don’t understand. I travelled to Portugal, and even on those uneven stony street, I can push easily. From the street level to the pavement step, it’s so easy to push upwards. The wheels are so great. Ant is the best travel stroller. I don’t want to push my baby to face the world when they are so small.

Butterfly doesn’t recline to flat also can’t adjust to sit completely upright. I was holding off buying ant as waiting for butterfly however after saw this I went to got ant. Sure it is harder to fold but for traveling for a long holiday where there are times when baby will have to sleep in stroller, ant would be much more comfortable. Also while walking around my baby much prefer sit completely upright. I got a mountain buggy nano which is almost exact same design as butterfly. It has the advantages of being lighter and easy to fold unfold but It would be quite uncomfortable for baby to sit in it for a long period of time as you do when you on holiday. It’s okay for keep in my car for like quick walk around supermarket or waiting for doctors appointment etc. I got the bugaboo fox 2 as his main stroller which he loves and I feel the ant seat reclining in the same way while butterfly doesn’t go flat or straight is just not good enough for going on multiple days holiday when baby needs to be in stroller all day some times

It seems it might be. But yoyo will lead in 2things anyway. Swiwel wheel lock and skiis for snow.

Shots Fired!!! I am looking forward to your review. I sell strollers and I really like that you give relevant information especially on durability and construction. I can always find a useful tip about a stroller from your videos, unlike a lot of reviewers that all reviews boil down to a Nuna advertisement.

Lol. I'm about to see a seller and binged a lot of The Stroller Workshop's videos for similar reasons. I was obsessed with the overall weight. Online shops either skipped, partially mentioned some numbers (e.g. just frame weight, but nothing about seat/bassinet) or simply disagreed with one another. Due to this obsession, I can now more critically approach various models and hopefully avoid buying a one time use stroller, no matter how tempting lower prices may be.

We're on our way out of strollers now, but still like watching your content. The butterfly looks more comparable to a Yo-yo, I'll be curious to see the full review :)

Thank you for the speedy “preview”!! Bought the influencer after watching your review, having a bit of second thoughts now that Bugaboo is releasing the Butterfly. We are likely to go on a trip in May so we might stick with the Influencer because Butterfly won’t be available yet!

The Influencer is awesome, so I wouldn't worry about having made a bad purchase or anything. :) We'll compare the 2 after we get our hands on the Butterfly for real. :)

I’m choosing buggy for travels with my kids. I watched many comparable videos, but I’m surprised that all people like more Butterfly. It’s for my second kid and my 4th travel buggy. I had bugaboo bee 3 ( was uncomfortable, too big, was not possible drive in close mode, was not standing alone), gb pocket ( small, light weigh but unstable, I didn’t like that it was shaking with kind inside), foppapedretti ( close to ideal, only 2 kilo weight, you can drive in close mode but not possible to hang a lot of stuffs, survived only 1 child and got broken). So what I don’t like in Butterfly - again you cannot carry in closed mode. When child needs buggy only little time (2-3 years old), I’m getting tired alway push this big trolley in front of me, it’s exhausting. I want to have compact trolley which u can close and push. - why I don’t like idea of closing Butterly. First 8 kilo it’s a lot. You could not carry 8 kilo plus other things plus watch child, it’s heaven. And they forgot that wheels will be dirty 🙈 You want to ruin your closed? If not it’s not the best idea. For instance by pockit has weight around 3 kilo and was trying to carry it on my shoulder. I tell you - 3 kilo plus child plus your regular bag - and the buggy stays in garage without usage )) So I look at Ant and I see - it’s more compact. Of course it’s not the option for everyday but for travel it’s ideal - you can carry the buggy as suitcase on wheals , it’s easy and comfortable. You will face the second hand free, because whatever they say it’s not comfortable to drive open big buggy only with 1 hand. Unless it’s something hidden I don’t understand why people like more Butterfly.

All the retailer reviews have avoided addressing the obvious comparison with the Joolz Aer so I hope you'll address that in your review later on! There's a lot of overlap with the 2 .

Thanks for the review! I used bugaboo buffalo , cameleon , bee , ant . Why i like Bugaboo? Because special design that look most different than other strollers. Even the Ant i just bought couple month ago . I still like it because even its not easy to fold . But its still have something very special from Bugaboo . From now i see the new bugaboo butterfly, its look similar as yoyo can many other brand . I hope bugaboo will have more style but please keep your own design from bugaboo .

We got the Joolz Aer and we love the simple fold (+ we are two tall parents and it was so hard to walk with the Yo-Yo). To me, the butterfly looks like a perfected version of the aer. The same simple folding mechanism, but with a built in footrest AND a good harness (I am not friends with Joolz harness..). Storage looks a bit better too. I am tempted to upgrade.

Ant def a bit finicky to fold and unfold but having bought and tried mountain buggy nano, cybex, silver cross... I sold them all and kept the ant. it is still my fave stroller!

Hi, my husband and I have been watching your videos when I was pregnant with my son and even now that he's already 8 months old. Helped us a lot in choosing the right stroller for him. We will be travelling to Europe this summer and we are looking for a travel stroller that is easy to navigate and can fit in the overhead cabin in the plane. I've been thinking about buying the yoyo2 (as per your other videos) but now that I watched this newest video, I am not sure which one to get anymore haha 🤣. Is it possible for you to make a video about this butterfly vs the yoyo2? It will really help us decide which is best and worth the money. Thanks a lot!

From the video,. does it look like the seat back is not upright enough in the upright position? all these features become irrelevant if the baby isnt comfy while being attentive and while sleeping

and the wheels look pretty small too I'm still not sure if this beats minu unless airplane cabin luggage is the main and frequent use case vs just wanting something light for everyday car trunk usecase

This is my only concern as well, but I decided to suspend judgement on it until we actually get the model for 2 reasons: firstly because the seat insert seems to correct the angle to some extent (you can see this in several pictures in terms of how far the base board sits back from the handle arms), and secondly because the fact that it has a full back insert means that DIY-fixing the problem by fitting something between the insert and the seat may be easily doable (and be a worthwhile compromise if it proves to otherwise be an amazing model). :)

Looks like a promising stroller. I think it's smart that the harness looks like the Ergobaby one. That's going to make it so easy to switch between different aged children. Quite relevant for an ultracompact, because many people will want to keep it in the car to use it for lots of different situations. And this makes it more flexible. The whole thing looks sturdy. It's nice that it has a footrest. But in all honesty that footrest doesn't look strong. I think I already see it flapping around. Is it going to be annoying when it flaps every time you open and close the stroller? And I don't know who is going to use it as a carry handle but it's not me. I think I would stick to the main frame and the carry strap. There's a thing with hygiene and the underside of shoes...

She seems to let it land on that footrest, when she folds the stroller. Oempf. Those footrest hinges are going to go through some torture.

What worries me is 2 things, 1st the fact that it doesn't have a swiwel wheel lock and 2nd the clip botton for the back rest. Will it clip up so easily as in the video? I doubt. But 8kg for basket? Thats a Wow! I mean 30kg for total weight limit might mean you could actually use this ultracompact with a wheel board without braking your stroller.

We had already landed on the Joolz Hub as our last stroller (our youngest is 2 years old) since we only need a stroller for longer day trips and for on-the-go naps. Now I'm not sure. Do you think the Hub still makes more sense with thw wheels that are a little bit bigger or could the Butterfly work as an everyday-stroller? One option is not letting go of Stokke Trailz as a back-up and getting the Butterfly in case there'll be airline travel for us before we are ready to give up strollers altogether.

I think in general you are not going to enjoy an ultracompact for everyday use. But some people swear by it.

Should i sell my Yoyo2 and buy Butterfly? I've seen them both. The Yoyo2 is somehow smaller than the Butterfly. I own the Yoyo2 for almost 2 years, but no one in my family know how to fold it but Me! So when i see this one step fold in this new Butterfly, i really think this might be the perfect stroller for travelling. The seat on Butterfly is cushiony, and i think better than Yoyo. Another thing is the Butterfly compartment is really easy to access compared to Yoyo2, and surprisingly, the compartment on Butterfly is really roomy. Let me know ur thoughts about this. I really really consinder to sell my Yoyo2. Thank you.
