So in a situation like this how would you go about grading? would it just get the easiest grade of the various betas if each beta is different in difficulty? or would you just go with the grade of the beta that works for the average climber? this might be a stupid question but i was wondering

You normally grade the easiest beta for the best Bodytype. Therfore you should not find an easy (for you) Rute wich is rated hard. But possibly an hard (for you) rute wich is easier rated then your normal limit. Of curse ratings are still subjective

Cool video and I like the first section of the bloc but it seems like the top is just way too easy and one of those blocs where it feels like not worth finishing it. I’d rather have seen a sketchy move out to a much smaller finish hold the left requiring some sort of press and a toe/heel hook or something

Love those setting episodes, but everytime one of you guys sets a wood screw with an impact driver, I flinch a little. It's just bad practise. No matter how experienced you are, nothing beats a torque controlled driver drill for that job. It's better for the screws, holds, volumes and your nerves, because there will be less broken wood screws without heads to surgically remove from the wall. 😉

I have trouble to find people motivated for route setting at our gym. For bouldering no problem I have volunteers, but for route settings not so much. To be fair setting routes on ropes like we do is less than ideal, specially on overhang or roofs ...
