I think this will be a common thought on this. Right now the two new civilizations are fun to play, and I'm glad I have them, but is this worth $25 Canadian? I guess it depends on how much you like the base game! For my family it is worth it, but when I write my review on GamesReviews.com, I will be laying out that this probably isn't something everyone will need / want.

Thx for this. A totally unnecessary and unjustified expansion, aside from milking the 7 wonders franchise cow. This game is so basic and whatever medals add could have been in the base game. There's no way I will pay $30 canadian dollars (before the 15% Quebec tax) for 4 extra VPs and a couple new research tokens.

Yes - seeing it for 25.95 on 401 Games out of Toronto - this is definitely not a must buy item. My family (my kids especially) do love this, so this expansion would make sense in our context (more content is good), but it won't make sense for everyone. To that end, the medals are a cool new way to score points, and it does mix up how you approach the game a bit (the base can become pretty stale after a dozen plays!)
