I think Evony was one of those mmo fantasy civ builder games where it take real life hours or days for stuff to be built, unless you spent money to speed it up. I think I played it for a bit, but that was over 10 years ago, could it still be a thing after that long?

It's a lot different than it was 15 years ago when I played it in high school. It WAS a browser-based game. It was an online multiplayer game where you everyone had their own cities, where you built it up, upgraded, built armies, and fought each other. But it was EXTREMELY pay to win. Microtransactions to speed up everything, like upgrading your buildings, creating your armies, to even buying resources for those things. And you can pay to prevent players from attacking you. Because if a player attacked you, they'd damage your stuff and steal your resources. For new players you'd have like a week of immunity, but after that week is up, you'll get swarmed by the p2w players until it's basically unplayable unless you start spending money yourself.

Apparently this is because Toho (the studio that owns Godzilla) is both very passive and very agreeable generally. So they never attempt to make their own Godzilla video games, but whenever a game developer comes to them with a pitch about featuring Godzilla or even making a full Godzilla game, they're usually on board and very free with the license.

There was a Godzilla crossover event in The Ants: Underground Kingdom where you could get a Godzilla skin for your anthill, Godzilla as a special insect to use in one of your marches and defend your anthill, and even some decorations of Godzilla, Mothra, and Monster zero, with the event involving Godzilla, Mothra, King Gidora, and Rodan. Apparently, from what I have heard, there was actually a copyright issue that occurred during the event on The Ants developers so I doubt well be seeing another crossover event again in there

No one was expecting the Legendary Godzilla (2014) was going to be an unlockable character until the game was actually released. Godzilla himself was a reskin of 'Zilortha, Strength Incarnate', a card which wasn't printed in non-Godzilla form for THREE YEARS. so there was a three year period where the joke was "Godzilla isn't *actually* Godzilla, he's just this other creature with different artwork" "Oh, what set is that other guy from?" "He isn't."

There's _almost_ a Godzilla in Fallout: New Vegas, while not implemented, there exists a giant golden fire-breathing gecko in the game files that goes by 'Gojira' if memory serves.

There was also the Godzilla vs Kong event in World of Warships. Sadly, you could not fight either, or even see them in combat, but you could get special ships themed after the two monsters, that even had special abilities based on the Titans.

Godzilla unofficially turned up in two of SEGA's Shinobi games on the Mega Drive. First as a boss battle in Shinobi II: The Revenge of Shinobi and then as a Mecha-Godzilla boss battle in Shinobi III. Godzilla was replaced by a brontasaurus in western releases of Shinobi II (and future Japanese re-releases) and Shinobi III's Mecha-Godzilla just got renamed to Mechasaurus.

Tbh, the war zone cameo is pretty much a godzilla movie from the human's perspective. Specifically the perspective of the human's in all the 1960 to 70 movies, lol. Back then godzilla could be fighting like 20 other monsters and then you would cut to the humans not caring in the slightest trying to carry out their agendas no matter what.
