The White could win easily at the end... Fx. In stead of moving his king, he could play: C4, then B3.. and if the kid wants to capture the pawn on a2, the white can run by the two pawns on b, and c... Even after he moved the king... Still could win: C4, the black king captures the pawn on b2.. White escape with a2 to at... Now whatever the black plays, the one of the white pawns passes. The white should have won.

Solrex the Sun King the kid is obviously a great player especially for his age but that pawn push at the end for the rook trade was absolutely horrible he went from winning to loosing and only won because white seriously misplayed after that, he should have pushed his pawns instead of trying to move his king in there
@alexandergoldthorpe45855 жыл бұрын
This endgame was full of game deciding mistakes. At 8:06, black should have played Kg5, but the trigger happy g3 is still winning. After ...g3, Rxf3, then g2 should have been played, giving up the rook to promote the pawn. Instead Rxf3 was played, completely winning for white. At 8:13, white should focus on pushing the pawns, he has 3 of them compared to black's 1, he can promote one of them without the help of the king. Instead he moved his king over, and allowed black to take all his pawns for free. This game was then still drawing until 8:24
@antaniserse5 жыл бұрын
Very true...the title of the video is a bit unfortunate since it actually display poor technique by Black, which liquidates a completely won Rook endgame into a completely lost pawn endgame; all White had to do at 8:13 is push b4 and c5, his pawns chain becomes invulnerable (Black can never go chase the a3 pawn, the other two will promote by themselves) and he can calmly bring the King back and win

@NafpaktosChess4 жыл бұрын
Final moments, quick commentary for chess starters: Black King to g5 is winning at 08:07, but the kid calculates under time pressure that he can take all the white pawns - and a better King placement, the "opposition" - to promote his last pawn to a Queen. But the white pawns can also move and the endgame is lost for black with perfect play by both sides. Chess goddess Kaissa blinds the white player who cooperates and the kid wins, executing his faulty plan till the end.

This kid is pretty good, for a seven year old. I wasn't even thinking about chess, when I was 7. I was just being a kid and enjoying my childhood at that age, lol. When I play chess, I like to take my time and contemplate each move. This game was over in less than 10 minutes! Not bad though. My props to the seven year old. He's ahead of time, good game! 😊

Very well played game of chess for a seven year old. It took him a minute to push the final pawn before the rook sacrifice, but he figured it out. Awesome job!!!

White blundered though. It was a even. At 8:18, all he had to do was push his most advanced pawn. Black can't catch it immediately allowing the white king to catch up. Don't get me wrong, though. This level of chess in a 7 YO is amazing.
@tash55404 жыл бұрын
@@unstablepc5913 No, he was perfect move for move, for the most part. He knew exactly how to make space when he pushed his pawn up. Didn't see it coming. It was an inevitable outcome unseen sadly for white.

Tash Sorry to tell you this, but you are wrong. Yes, the kid is amazing, and honestly; would probably obliterate me in a game of chess. That doesn’t change the fact that white blundered, and gave the win to black. White had at least a stalemate, and possibly could’ve had a winning move (I say possibly because I didn’t check for that).

Great job. He took his time when it really mattered most. The pawn sac to gain king position was brilliant (8:07). I don't think I would been able to calculate that out to a win as quickly as he did.

That pawn sac is a complete blunder (game is now drawn), but white misplayed his own king moves horribly. EDIT: In fact, after black pushed g2 white is winning.
