I just wanted to comment and let you know that you have made an impact on me 100 percent. I started watching your videos last year and picked up a used Trek Fuel EX8 last summer. I have been putting in work! Over 800 miles of trail riding this summer, and I am entering my first race this month. Joined up with the local IMBA chapter, and started volunteering on the trails. Keep going with your videos they are a huge positive impact on the community!

Same, it makes the trail last longer. Flow trails are fun but climbing for an hour just to do the trail in 5 minutes is kind of ehhh 😂

Yeah Stumpjumper Evo is pretty much all most people need and you can always adjust the head angle and pick up the cascade link if you want more travel. Killer job Eric. I'm used to left hand Canyon OHV in Colorado and I can tell thats some gnarly shit just by the tree angle.
@The_Sampler Жыл бұрын
I love left hand trails!

@@The_Sampler Yeah your video from years ago is still one of my favorite reviews from that time. You should hit up more of them next time you're in the area and make some more videos. Lots of work has been done to the trails by locals and there are so many crazy trails to choose from there. You would probably love the Browntown to Indiana Jones route and several others like GZA and ODB.

Hey Alex! If you haven't recently rode beehive at Wilson's Creek, it's definitely worth it. Took my buddy and I a little under an hour total, so definitely a shorter loop than Farlow's, but there are some sections that are up there with it in terms of chunder. From what I've heard it has gotten significantly rougher in the past year or so, I rode it in April and it was a blast. Great job killing the rock drop! And man, Eric was gettin it for only really riding a couple years!

Thank you for emphasizing that you are going full face on tough trails. I have a lot of friends that act like your man card should be revoked for wearing one, but the helmets are so good now that you aren't compromising comfort for the added safety. Remember, your idiot friends aren't going to pay for your facial reconstruction.

Gosh, I miss Pisgah... Didn't ride that, but did Bennett Gap and Buckwheat etc and Pilot Cove trail (where it was sooo continually rocky I was thinking... cursing... 'will it never end' from 2/3 way down! Enjoyed it though!). Wonder how Farley compares with Pilot Cove?
@petedog9581 Жыл бұрын
Rode Buckwheat on 26" many years ago and it was really rugged. I remember some bike a hikes to get to the top. Got lost on a backcountry ride on Wood Mtn and MTS trail the next day. It was an epic 6 hour 32 miles before finding our way out of the woods to the highway. All we had was a dated trail guide book. Lol. Caught on the mountain top in a severe thunderstorm huddled under a bush for about an hour. We found out a tornado came through the area the next day. It is really rugged everywhere in Pisgah.

I did the whole BMX thing till i was 15-16 and just started mountain biking last year at 38 im so made i didn’t really know about the spots in my area all these years
@KarstRats Жыл бұрын
The way i go about it. Is one trail at a time and i will sesh one feature over and over and over until i dont think about it as anything other than just riding down that part of the trail. The trail ends up feeling like a road you may drive every single day. Almost like you could do it in your sleep. I found that in a single day i could easily get comfortable going from feeling like a ragdoll in a jump to it just being another feature that doesnt need to even be thought about other than you know its coming just like a road you drive every day.
