Just rode Kanuga today on my full power eBike. 20.4 miles, 12 laps to the top plus a few on Tortuga, 2:35 rolling time. There’s no way this 65yo geezer could ever have that much fun in one day without an eBike !

Being in Michigan, an e-bike has no access to trails nor do they really need one. However, during the Bentonville Bikefest, riding 100 miles and conquering Mt. Nebo, our last day was spent on Orbea Wild, and it was sick! So many laps and just attacked everything. Yoop!

Mr. Sampler, I must admit I started watching your channel years ago, when you had way more enthusiasm than experience. I could relate to that, so it was more fun to watch than the pros. It's good to see some enthusiastic beginners again.

Great for mental health. Still get exercise too. Great to see a YTers praising how you can get great deals 2nd hand. It makes all the difference at this level of ebike. Range does not drop as much as many think and that's not everything. Many are so tied to the industry they do not mention that little secret.

I think having an e-bike for your friends who don't ride is a great thing. I'm able to hop on the Amish bike and let them take the e-bike. They're going to go slow over things anyway and it helps them keep up. And I've even been on the e-bike on trails I don't know and had people pass me on Amish bikes because they know what line to take. It's great to help match riding abilities

That was how I wiped out on my first fall on my new bike earlier this year. New trail and a tit to fast around the berm went high front end washed out on me. Then tried a raised skinny and right at then end I knew I didn’t have it lol went to hop off and lost my balance fell on one side bike on the other saved the stanchion from getting hit but the lower and the top tube got a lil rash. Good times. Are you planning a comparison video of the two bikes?

my only complaint about ebikes and it just happened here on video, the rider is not yet capable of handling the weight or force of an ebike in a turn and they tear up all the berms and widen our trails (and its DFW, there is not a climbing trail w/in 100miles) Okay internet, pour the hatred my way! otherwise ebike your hearts out!

$2500 that’s crazy that’s less than my enduro that’s not even an e bike! What a good deal!!
@growlith6969 Жыл бұрын
No way I would buy a SL version of those bikes. I leave mine in turbo all the time except for technical climbing just because the twitchy power and over-run isn't helpful...but I have never come close to running out of power, even when I ride a morning spot, eat lunch, and then ride another place after. And thats besides the extra power and the fact that the full power motors dont make that noise that the SL motors make.
@pauleddy5146 Жыл бұрын
Can't wait for e-bikes to get to analogue bike weight. Then I'm down . . . immediately.
@growlith6969 Жыл бұрын
Nah don't wait. The extra weight makes it really stable, they jump amazing, always have burly tires suspension and brakes. None of my Colorado friends can drop me and they have more experience and very nice acoustic bikes. I come from a moto background anyway so swapping a 250lb bike for a 52lb bike already feels like it's super light to me.
@streddaz Жыл бұрын
There's already decent Ebikes that are the same weight as say an Enduro bike.
