You guys took a dream and made a massively popular and successful game. I did a little bit of rough math and got a number of 1.6m in sales alone. Your dedication to this game is allowing it to stay afloat for years to come. The fact you have it at such a low price allows anyone who is burnt out on every other fps give this a chance and not have heavy buyers guilt. It’s absolutely brilliant, good work I’ve already had some moments of getting 700m snipes and going speechless.

It took me a moment to think of an adequate reply. I have 1,641.5 hours on Squad, it's my most played game. My first PC game was Battlefield 2, all I ever played was strike at karkand. It's been a constant debate this weekend, should I play Battlebit or Squad. The question isn't relevant. They are both are great games. Battlebit however has been great blend of Squad and Battlefield. Thank you and thank the team for the great experiences, and greater experiences to come. Any chance we could we get a map reminiscent of Karkand? I have to ask lol

I love older fps games, not because my PC can actually handle it but because it's not visually overwhelming. I cannot play modern games like cod without feeling like I need a magnifying glass or 30/30 vision. It's so draining to constantly try and keep up with what I'm seeing, games like this and Unturned are friggin awesome! Just like a book, if it's good you WILL be transported away mentally and I find that in games the quality of the graphics (textures and realism) doesn't matter! I thoroughly enjoy good color choices, some bloom and other visually pleasing imagery in games but it most certainly doesn't have to be ultra dense and realistic.

The devs take feedback into account, are constantly updating the game, and making an honest effort at creating a great experience. "For the price" - yeah well, what if we don't look at the price or the fact that it's an indie or that the devs are cool, what are we left with then? And with the most mentioned positive points in steam reviews being "hurr 2042 iz so bad lolol" and "omg voip is so fun lolol"? Cool. Best FPS ever, that's for sure.

@@dannylipatov6530 >top 1 worst take of the year That would be "ukraine is winning" The game is an unfinished early access paid roblox mod which does not provide anything new has an identity crisis and is worse than BF4 or BF2 in every aspect. Heck, content-wise it is worse than 2042. Only reason bbit is relevant is because all of the "good BFs" are quite old and there is no competition. Lack of competition does not make an objectively mediocre game good. And people will begin to realise that soon enough.

This is the lightning in the bottle right here. So many games these days have systems in place that are meant to ensure player retention through fear of missing out, addiction and frustration. The idea in those games is that the player is meant to feel that if they do badly, they are punished, therefore creating the thought that the player must keep playing, until he does well. We all know a game or two that follows that formula. Battlepit has a different approach. Because the gameplay is fast, and the teams are massive, player death is considered a natural part of the gameplay loop and players are even expected to sacrifice themselves to capture objectives, save teammates or destroy vehicles. This is incentivized by the massive amounts of points those actions award. The punitiveness of getting killed is kept minimal by allowing everyone to revive others, as well as again awarding massive points for revives. This creates a positive reinforcement in the gameplay, which inherently makes the game less punitive, and simply put, more fun.

Something I've noticed in the game is how everyone playing seems to genuinely be having a blast. Every time I'm around people using proximity chat, they're always laughing and having a good time, communicating well, being polite to teammates, etc. None of the insults that plagues games like COD. At the end of a round, both teams saying GG, no rude or inappropriate things being said, and everyone just focusing on which map to vote for. Even though it's just a game, it's almost like it has a good atmosphere about it if that makes sense.

Battlebit may well have ushered in a new era in gaming. The way I see it one of 2 things can happen from here: either a) AAA devs learn from the success of this game and course correct and we see something of a return to form and a revitalization of FPS or b) AAA devs don't learn an we see a massive reshuffle of the gaming industry with much more indie games taking the spotlight, while the classic AAA titles like COD and BF slowly die out within 2-3 releases. @@AznUzer Yeah. I mean it is good, just not for me personally, cannot really get into the blocky style. I have disposable income, so I don't mind supporting them. If you are unsure I would check up reviews that would do a much better job at explaining the goods and negatives of the game over me that have surface level knoweldge of BF games in general and BattleBit.

As someone that is from the Philippines and a student with mid-end gaming laptop, having only to pay $15 (₱640 in Philippine Pesos) this game is very very fun and awesome to play. I am very excited what will come next in the next update. Thank you Moidawg for the awesome story that I did not know about Battlebit’s background history. Love content and please stay safe!

@@jackharold8379as long as there is input based matchmaking I wouldn’t mind but the fact this game has no controller players right now is so fucking nice compared to playing Apex where controller has advantages compared to MnK I would really hate to watch this game turn into another aim assist vs KBM debate because apparently having input based matchmaking is a hard ask in 2023

This was such an awesome video, moi. I've been having an absolute blast with this game for weeks but had no idea of it's rocky past. Quite a few buddies did play when it wasn't nearly as fleshed out and they were very hesitant with the $15 price tag and now I certainly know why. Thankfully, they did end up getting it and now we're all having so much fun!
