Goodness. this makes me so, so happy and greatly confirms my decision to go with the InMotion RS Lite right before Black Friday. I pulled the trigger from Voro, used a code and received an additional $100 off to make the price $2399. With tax and the interest (from Affirm pay), I walked away at $2700 "out the door" or rather, shipped to me. I've only gotten to ride it a time or two (it's freezing in SW Ohio), but, I can already tell it's fantastic. The build quality, everything... buttery smooth acceleration, phenomenal braking, and just sit-back-and-smoke-a-cigar riding... Nothing is lacking. Eventually, I'll upgrade to the full RS battery for longer range, but, I am so pleased with the power, stability, braking, and acceleration. Highly recommended... also, I have two NIU KQi 300X models for my kids... I highly recommend them as well. I think they're like the commuter tier of what InMotion is to the hyper tier.

Yeah dude you made a killer choice! I also agree the Niu's are really good entry level scooters! I reviewed that 300x earlier this year too it's a rocket ship! I like the polish finger throttle. For me it is night and day better because of overall hand grip. I think for anyone trying to break a throttle it will break. Finger rests nicely with no force needed for me to worry about breaking. The set up is important too but i never liked thumb throttle. Unstable for my use. I liken it to a kid on a bmx bike and trying to deal with a thumb while keeping your whole hand secure around the handlebar. Not good at high speeds. Personal preference. Awesome on the Nami 100% 💪

@ScootaGangАй бұрын
Not sure how you would do that with the deadzone in the middle of the throttle? Think some just need better programming imo
@Ariel-x1xАй бұрын
@@ScootaGang I've seen video where the RS was gradually accelerated in approximately 2 mph steps up to 50 mph (twist throttle). It was a linear throttle from 0 to 50 mph (on a stand) so perhaps the mid-throttle 'dead' zone is due to accruing wear, as it's the range most used?

Hello..like your content and watch you frequently I've seen a bunch of"best-of" videos but why don't these manufacturers offer wireless rearview somehow? Seems it would be a viable option over mirrors..I live in the Northeast of U.S.A. and I have nice bar-end mirrors...but started looking into camera /screen combo for glancing down and seeing what the "f" is behind me. We have country traffic here on somewhat small roads. The mirrors add width and work "alright"...be nice to glance down at a 4"-ish screen mounted off the handlebar and immediately see rearview. Manufacturers could offer it as a $100 upgrade or something...It just seems odd they don't think about what's approaching from behind.... Just throwing that out there... Rock on!!
@ScootaGangАй бұрын
I agree more scooters should come with a mirror. I never used one even until the Vsett 11+ super72 which comes with a left hand mirror. It was pretty useless to me at speed I still check over my shoulder every lane change. It was good for looking behind you while at a stop light to check for cops etc, but when moving fast it was not too useful. Tons of people put a rearview camera mod on their scooter, you can install one like you say for $100 and have it constantly showing whats behind you and even recording it like a dash cam. If you only have one scooter you plan to ride for years, I think it's a good upgrade. But I can't really put that on every scooter I ride so it's not realistic to me. Thinking towards the future, I already asked Inmotion to develop a proper HUD that can attach to our helmet and display things like the speed and etc. Maybe we can just incorporate a camera into that when it comes out in the future. Personally I think it's better to move away from looking at the screen itself and find a way to move the screen to your helmet visor. It would really make riding seemless and much safer to check your dash at high speeds.

What do you mean by "Vsetts do not allow e-braking at all until it's down to half battery"? Are you implying that if ebraking at full charge or over 70%+ will fry your controller? Was that the reason? Cause that happen to mine lol
@ScootaGangАй бұрын
What I mean is when you ride the scooter, it will not e brake at all until it's down to about 72v. So from 84v down to 72v you are braking 100% with the disc brakes only. All these other scooters e brake immediately so it is consistent the whole time you are riding. It's almost a surprise on the Vsett when the ebrake finally kicks in after 15 miles of riding and you feel it for the first time. It was surely a safety feature they programmed in, but it's just a poorly implemented idea because you simply don't get to use any ebrake for the majority of your ride!

What's your thoughts on the RoadRunner RS5 MAX? I was looking at an InMotion RS and RoadRunner RX7 because I want top-quality, BUT I want something that adapts to trail riding (minor-offroad) as well as roads. I don't see myself going 70+ and passing cars on the highway. So for 30# weight savings, and still able to achieve 45-50, that would be perfect for my road/trail adventures. So...do you have any opinions on the RoadRunner RS5 MAX (or something comparable for road/trail ability)??? Love the channel and information!

I rode the RS5 max for about 600 miles this summer, I had a full review for it earlier this year. The scooter itself is alright, but I ran into too many issues with the brand itself that I didn't want to promote them anymore. The scooters are decent but you can get very similar scooters from Kukirin, Ausom, Kugoo, they are all share many of the same components and design for a better deal.

Brian, can we just buy the in motion throttle and have it work properly, or does the controller have something to do with it

No the throttle mapping is based on both the throttle and the controller and how they are programmed to work together. The inmotion app has a throttle mapping feature so you can add new throttles and smooth them out, but none of these other scooters have that feature so you are stuck with how it is when you hook it up.

@ScootaGangАй бұрын
No and I never will. I sheared off a Nami shock in a wreck last year, it snapped in half. Not even a hard impact just a slide out at like 30 mph. I don't think those shocks are very robust, and they are also too soft for me. They are just very different design, Nami suspension rides like a cadillac aka very soft and cushiony over bumps like for a grandma, whereas Inmotion suspension rides like a formula 1 car, fully connected to the road with a super stiff suspension. Sure they are interchangeable, but in my opinion I'd be taking my racing scooter and turning it into a touring scooter. If you prefer that then go for it, but I will never do that to mine. I really enjoy the racing feel of the RS suspension. I'd be curious to see how much the scooter boats forward and backward on heavy acceleration/braking for those that have made the swap, I bet it would boat more with the Nami shocks then the RS shocks. I'm pretty much done upgrading my RS for now. I'm hoping they will release a new controller next year that we can install to push more amps, but other then that the scooter rides so perfect for me I will only be doing maintenance. Brake bleed is next on the list, they lasted a lot of miles but finally getting soft enough to need fresh oil!

I watched a review the other day, and the GSPACE MARS GTR seems to be faster than the RS and appears to be smoother as well. Anyway, I still insist that the MARS GTR is the best high-speed off-road scooter; the comfort and sense of safety are just too apparent!I could ride my MARS all day long! Maybe it's because it's taller and sturdier!Thank goodness, the height-increasing components of Mars make it even more comfortable!
@ScootaGang9 күн бұрын
It's faster by 30%, but it's definitely not smoother. It's less ergonomic to ride because it's still jerky initial acceleration. It's not a bad scooter at all, but the inmotion is just way smoother control at take off. It's personal preference really if you prefer fine tuned throttle control or not. The "height increasing" components make the gpsace less comfortable, it's too high to step up on comfotably, and it's too high to rest your foot on it at stop lights for a minute, the RS is just way more comfortable for a daily driver.

Nami burn?
@ScootaGangАй бұрын
Only rode the Namis for one weekend so don't have enough miles to make this type of comparison. But the Blast suspenion is amazing and 72v version of that scooter will be the next Nami I'm actually interested to buy! Wish they would update their electronics though and make a nice app for their line up, they really need it to compete with Inmotion now

sounds like a biased review towards inmotion the fact that inmotion uploaded your video before you did, sus
@ScootaGangАй бұрын
Yeah I sent them this video last night. They are going to promote it further to get more views! If you don't have any experience with these scooters why are you skeptical? I've ridden them all extensively and the mileage is listed at the end...

While I agree thats a little funny and smart to even catch, I have an Inmotion RS, and nothing untrue has been said here.
@JacMovesАй бұрын
Maybe, but it still is the best with all the options it has and the range it gets. No other scooter has the option for raising and lowering your scooter based on where you're riding. I wouldn't mind having one. 😂 I really want the Eahora Tiger King. Good middle ground.
@cocoabiscuitsАй бұрын
@@JacMoves I like that the RS has those levels but the lowest seems to be bad due to scraping around corners so easily so it doesn't make sense to be at the lowest. That and it seems cumbersome to change out of those settings but I don't have one to know. Just seen other reviewers talk about that part.
@unloveableandreАй бұрын
@@cocoabiscuits so maybe the lowest is not for that scenario, now, think about, race, tracks, no curbs?

Shud of done maintaince score...tyres changes etc...
@ScootaGangАй бұрын
Maintenance Scores: Kaabo Wolfs - 9 Vsett 11+ - 5 Inmotion RS - 9 Gspace Mars GTR - 9 The vsett are the only scooter with a much lower score because the brakes pads and rotors have to be changed excessively. Also changing the tire is harder to get the motor wire disconnected compared to all the other tire changes which are pretty easy and straightforward.

please guys stop those Ai traductions, it's horrible, unlistenable and it's feels not natural at all. For me the video launched in french and i swear it's horrible.

I'm not even sure how you are getting a french version? Is it a setting on your end or mine? I know youtube started doing automatic dubbing into other languages maybe you can turn it off in your settings?

@ScootaGang i tried but there's no options for this in yt settings, at 5 seconds of video, i already wanted to leave bruh. thanks we can still desactivate it on the player.

Great video, I’ve bn obsessing over the GSpace suspension so great to see u compare the models. Would like to see a steering comparison video with single v double stems, stem angles 📐Thin vs wider decks , lighter vs heavier, Off Road vs Street tires , speed wobbles & dampers . I have a 90lb , 9” deck single stem with exa 291r suspension & street tires & a 120lb , 11.4” deck single stem with KKE suspension & Full Off-Road tires. I find the steering on the lighter scooter completely different & way easier compared to the heavier scooter. I agree the heavier scooters are definitely less practical for riding Off-Road . 🛴💨

It's a great suspension I think it makes the old wolf warriors obsolete once and for all. I think the steering generally feels the same between single and dual stem, it's more so when you pull forward and backward on the handlebars it feels much stiffer and more solid. The stem angle does matter, and that's kind of why I think the RS is better for shorter people. Becuase when you have the bars lowered as far as possible the handlebars are at a comfortable distance from your body. But as you get taller, you have to slide the bars up, but also in and closer to your body. So a very tall person will have less space between their body and the handlebars. I do think they could help a bit buy moving the suspension up one notch to gain some more height overall, but they will still have a bit less space then shorter people like me. Deck just has to be thick enough to hold your feet comfortably, if it's too wide it will be annoying when you step down at stop lights. But the only scooter I've ever had that was too wide was the songzo bt1, everything else is fine to ride. The splach thunder 10 is one of the smallest and I do wish it was a little bigger, but it's a commuter scooter meant to be small. Heavier is always better on the road! I mainly ride street tires, pmt, unless it's an offroad scooter like my gotrax gx3! Having a damper is better then not having one. The inmotions have built in dampers you can tighten really easily. They work great! Gspace just released a new damper bracket you can add, but does require drilling a couple holes in the frame! I rarely get any speed wobbles at all though, I really think that is from poor stance and weight management.

I'm convinced that the suspension system of the MARS GTR is the best! Especially for off-road riding, it has excellent passability! And from what I can see, no matter what others say, MARS always has the highest overall cost-performance ratio! The reason I don't like RS is because their promotion is confusing; they have a smaller battery but claim to have a longer driving range. As for steering, I don't think it's necessary; I'm not sure if it will affect the overall riding experience. And you know what, MARS will make you look cooler!

How does the nami scooters compare with scores

I only rode the Namis for one weekend, so I can't really compare them with these scooters that we have thousands of miles on.
