Thanks for sharing your memories. If Song Of The South lives on, they should've kept selling that merch. (Retheming to the Princess and the Frog may take forever,) I'd like to try out Splash Mountain for part of my future Disney trip but hate to see it shut down and change and being too late. Br'er Rabbit's one of my fav characters, too. I thought he's a mascot to all critters. Have you played/watched Disneyland Adventures? We sure did.

I totally understand Splash Mountain obsession. One day, quite a few years ago, my cousin and I rode the WDW version probably 12-15 times, granted it was in January, so that explains the short lines, but still great fun. Disney needs to reconsider retheming, because they'll wind up alienating fans like you and me. #savesplashmountian

Disney needs to bring back splash mountain. That’s one of my favorite rides and I really miss it so much. I really hope that it could be in a new location which is Adventureland. Brer rabbit wants to continue his adventure.

I first found out about Bree rabbit and the gang from going to Disneyworld and riding splash mountain and it turned out to be one of my favorite water themed rides and I looked up what it was based on and that’s when my obsession with song of the south and splash mountain developed I loved the story it told on the ride and I also love the movie I just wish people weren’t so overly offended by this movie Walt Disney created without splash mountain it just feels empty in both Disney world and Disneyland I hope Disney company finds it in their heart to look back and say we made a big mistake on removing these beloved characters and ride

Disney has to see this video. They seriously have to take into consideration people like you and me and everyone else in the comments. We all love Splash Mountain, and we have loved it since we were children; some of us are probably still children making childhood memories with this ride! I have never seen Song of the South sadly, I heard about it for the first time a year ago! I am dying to see that movie, it sounds like an awesome movie! So anyway, this ride is a classic and should NOT be closed. Rides should only be closed when it’s deserved; because either people hate it or it is constantly malfunctioning and can’t be fixed or there has been a past history of injuries, etc. Splash Mountain is loved my Disney fans all over!! I love Splash Mountain! Whenever my family and I take someone to Disney World because it is their first time, I always, ALWAYS, want to ride Splash Mountain with them. On our last Disney trip with some friends who is their first time at Disney, we almost didn’t ride this ride. But I begged and begged, and we did, and I’m happy! No one can leave Magic Kingdom or Disneyland without riding the one and only Splash Mountain! There has to be a way for Disney to see this video, because this is something that should make Disney rethink their decisions. They make theme parks to make people happy, but they are doing a horrible job at doing that with retheming Splash Mountain. Do what people want! Save Splash Mountain!!!! #SaveSplashMountain

And if you are a huge fan like you say you are, then go to Tokyo and ride the splash mountain there. Its not closing anytime soon. Oh wow. I actually went with a friend in 2016 and I can’t believe they had the characters out as late 2016. I probably saw them in 2004 or earlier all the summers I went with my maternal grandparents and we had the old autograph books I say I never saw them but maybe I did and just don’t remember and we don’t have photos. We still have them the autograph books. My first trip I was 5 months old I say I didn’t but i probably did and just don’t remember. so maybe I should take a look…. Se if I did.
