Agreed. For those who actually grew up with the film, they'd know actually how iconic this ride is. It might not have opened during the original opening of the theme park, but that ride has since then climbed up to a classic status by now. Both the film and the ride have features that Disney will no longer produce today.

When I first rode the ride, I was so excited because this was one of my favorite movies as a kid. It only has a long wait because the loading process is slow, but it is easily worth the wait.

@@ollie_bear I agree Rodger rabbit is an fun ride and the same with Autopia that ride gets to much hate i agree with the idea from Disney of renovating it rather than removing it.

Autopia is fun for kids who don’t drive. For adults, is a reminder on their vacation how much they hate commuting to work every day. The last time I rode Autopia, probably around 40 years ago, I was behind one of those slow drivers that foreshadowed 95% of the morons I’d eventually encounter on my daily commute

I'm glad you didn't mention Peter Pan and Alice when comparing Roger Rabbit to the Fantasyland dark rides, because unlike the other three you mentioned, those rides always have long lines!

I also agree with you on Autopia. It's so outdated, and it takes up a lot of real estate. It's gotta go. I also wouldn't mind seeing Finding Nemo go away, and while their at it, they might as well demolish the rotting Rocket Rods track! The only downside to that is the Monorail track takes up residence in that area, so if they do any demolition there, they'd have to work around the track or rebuild it from scratch, because Disney is never getting rid of the Monorail (there's just no way).

I agree on Autopia and Nemo Submarine Voyage. Like the Autopia ride is so ugly and doesn't really feel like it belongs in Tomorrow Land, let alone in a Disney Park. I mean what is even the theme here? Racing? Joyriding? Wasting time while you wait for the lines to clear on a better attraction? Submarine Voyage works so much better with the original 2000 Leagues under the Sea theming. If Jules Verne isn't futuristic enough for the Land they could easily just invent an original story taking cues from the original novel. Like maybe you are on a deep sea pleasure cruise to see a famous ship wreck and stay at an underwater hotel, but your submersible gets attacked by a giant squid and things escalate from there. Disagree on Roger Rabbit, but i'm biased because I love the film.

Pretty good list. As a parent with two toddlers, I appreciate gadgets go coaster and Casey Junior. But I agree, even as a “Disneyland purist” Autopia has run its course in that space would be much better suited to something else.

the last time i went on autopia, my car stopped working not even 30 seconds into the ride 😐 there's nothing more awkward than a giant line of cars stuck behind you while you can do literally nothing about it. it also felt like it took like five minutes for the cast member to come over and re-start my car 😭

WOOOW star tours is not a lesser version of smugglers run. smugglers run is a mid flight simulator. star tours is an actual adventure

i don’t exactly understand why disney keeps attractions in tomorrowland that are no longer futuristic. the idea of tomorrowland is that it is the land of tomorrow. it can’t be a “land of tomorrow” if they’re keeping rides like the autopilot or submarine voyage. ill never understand it. they got rid of flight to the moon because it wasn’t futuristic anymore, and they replaced it with mission to mars, so why can’t we do that to submarine voyage and the autopia?

Right? I guess retheming it from the Moon to another celestial body is easier than completly overhauling the concept like they would need to do with the other two but still Autopia isn't even themed to futuristic cars but oldtimers.

Roger's wait time is too high for a ride tgat old imo but it's not a bad ride. For a long time it's wait times were horrible imo because it was basically the only ride in Toon Town.

I like Autopia I’ve always thought that ride is underrated and is the most underrated attraction at Disneyland.. Stop the Autopia slander, I can agree with Finding nemo though thats gotta go eventually…

Autopia is a fun ride for kids who wanna be like OMG I GET TO DRIVE A CAR. My issue with it is the outdated cars and the horrible fumes from the gasoline. I love the smell only because of that ride but it becomes too much and hurts my head after standing in line for an hour. Also there’s a lack of theming and decoration around the track of the ride with only having like two or three little thingys scattered

@@LittleBabyCarrot Yeah and also for some reason when I visted, one side of the loading area wasn't being used throughout my entire visit. Are the cars just old and haven't been given an overhaul?

@@randomscb-40charger78 I heard they might be changed to be electric powered which means they’ll probably have greatly upgraded cars. I know during the night they close the majority of tracks. Did you go on a crowded day or a calm slightly empty day? I’m not sure to why you say them not using some tracks. I know they have cars sit on the side away from the rides tracks so maybe you mistaken them?? Not sure to be honest.

Autopia and FInding Nemo (and the Innovations building) should have been torn down to build Galaxy's Edge. Change Space Mountain to the Star Wars theme permanently and then you have a fully connected Star Wars land with 4 attractions.
