15 runs so far in the last 2 days, and only once was my ship scanned. I was not attacked even though I had criminals onboard, because the scan was done not by an authority vessel, but by an Asp Scout NPC. Authority vessels routinely target my ship (EDDiscovery shows those events) but they never scan. I'm running an exploration-fitted Anaconda with 8 cabins, going with a leisurely, stress-free pace using all the available quality of life features (auto-docking, auto-undocking, supercruise assist) while doing other stuff on the side. All in all this earned me roughly 275 million credits. Very doable, excellent video and tip, thank you so much @DETA! By the way: Babbage Gateway in Ceos (which is only 52 ly from Robigo) has First Class passenger cabins, but so so far I didn't need them at all.

I had an easier time running missions from Robigo Mines in a Python, with cabins optimized for 16 passsengers, 12, or 8, whatever I could fit. The reason is that Robigo Mines is a quick in/out platform, with nary a scan. Also, a lot of the RM missions are Rich Tourists, who are *not* wanted, and are *low value targets.* This means no interdictions, and no need for silent running. Best payouts at Elite/allied were around 4.9M for 16 passenger VIPs, 3.8M for 12, 2.8 for 8 or so. Takes about 12 min/run, made 15-18M/run. Your main opponent will be boredom.

Thanks for this video. This still works, for those wondering. I'm using a Python with 5 cabins and I can make about 12-15 million per round trip (my jump range is only 24 so it takes longer than shown here). I'd recommend that people select the 'Reputation++++' rewards at first, to get maxed out rep asap, because that's when they start offering 3M credits per passenger mission. For those saying that they have trouble returning to the station with wanted passengers: warp to the station, line up on the mailslot from about 6km, request docking, then approach straight at the slot, when you're around 4km away activate silent running. as soon as you're through the slot you can turn it off again as you're not going to get scanned inside.

So, here's an addendum to my previous comment: An earlier comment here mentioned using Robigo Mines as your mission hub but never really specified why, but since I was waiting on my cutter to ship out here I started out at Hauser's Reach like d2ea did. I ended up switching because I heard that Robigo Mines has higher payouts for the same missions, so I checked it out. Each passenger mission from the mines was around 4-5M for 12-16 passengers (didn't even require flipping), so I refit the Python to hold all Business/Economy cabins -basically anything with 16+ seats where possible, and small economy cabins in the leftover slots (since none of the missions ever required anything above economy), dropped to a 3A shield in case I hit something, added the 5H FSD Booster (new jump range was around 35LY), and started. I was averaging about 20-25M (with ~32M being the upper limit, but probably requires flipping) per run, with each run taking 11-13 minutes. This calculates out to anywhere from 92-136M per hour depending on how lucky you get with payouts and how quick you can move. Definitely more profits than I was making at Hauser's Reach, but you're only able to use a Python or some other med ship. If you are looking to start small and build your way up, DEFINITELY start at Robigo Mines.

Robigo Mines (medium pads only) is still working. 15 to 25 million per 15 minutes in a Python with all economy class passenger cabins. **ADDITIONAL INFO FOR CMDRs** *The passengers are only criminals in Sothis. You don't even come close to a station when you go there. *You don't have to do the sourcing goods...... you can still finish the missions by going to Sirius Atmospherics and back to Rabigo Mines. o7 CMDRs

I miss the old Robigo smuggling missions... for me it was a lot of fun, as well as being very lucrative of course, with a *lot* of missions stacked it could get pretty darn difficult and be a hell of a white knuckled ride, racing the clock dodging the cops as well as the bandits which would dog you at every jump point, so 'sun dropping' them became a acquired skill , sometimes they also appeared in front of you as you boosted towards a station causing my little asp to plough right into them lol, every now and then there would be an interdiction you couldn't avoid, the worst type was with 2 clippers you couldnt outrun, or the DBE with the never miss rail guns , tough situations but not impossible ones if you were quick enough.. it wasnt easy trying to sneak in and out of stations and systems with a lot of missions stacked and intact, I don't regard it as an exploit as it got harder the more missions you took , and 1 single scan it would all be over...

I felt that was a great balance. you could loose it all getting close to the bubble turning in your slaves. you get extremely efficient at making it in the mail slot before you get scanned. man the maneuvers I had to pull. those were the good ol days

In summary: 1) get economy passenger lounges, and minimum jump range of at least 30LY 2) go to Robigo 3) go to Robigo Mines 4) take all of passenger missions with destination Sirius Atmospherics 5) auto launch and switch to silent mode asap 5.a) fly to Sothis 5.b) fly to Sirius Atmospherics near Sothis A 5 6) on return request docking then switch to silent mode, dock gracefully 6.a) when docking as soon as you are directly above the landing sight and facing the correct direction, feel free to allow auto pilot 6.b) heat sinks in your Optional ship slot will help with extending your time in silent mode 8) mission complete, rinse and repeat commander Bonus: **CEOS system nearby sells passenger cabins. **Fire heat sink in silent mode to exit immediately to the next system from stations

No need for Silent Running at Robigo Mines, because they're no police patrol here (= no scan) ! but... perhaps it's required at Hauser's Reach station, in case you're using large ship such Anaconda (I don't have tested).

A couple of addenda - 1. The missions from Robigo Mines pay out much higher than those from Hauser's Reach (up to Cr5M), and even though you can only use small or medium ships (Python is recommended), you can earn up to Cr120M an hour; 2. Passenger missions from Robigo Mines can be up to 16 passengers per mission, so include some larger cabins if you want to do missions from there; 3. In order to do the run in 4 jumps rather than 6, you will need a jump range of at least 32LY, not 30LY as stated here.

lol, people in the comments don't realise that methods to make less than 100MCr/hour won't get nerfed. Just think about the Parutis to Medb run. Pays around 60-80MCr/Hour and is known for months now. Did it get nerfed? No! Stacking up scan missions to the same settlement pays about 50-70MCr. Not nerfed. So stop blaming D2EA for ruining good methods by posting videos about it. Better blame guys over at Frontier Forums like this Cosmo guy...

I don't know what missions you're taking in Parutis -->Medb run, but with VIP missions in an Anaconda I just made $50 million credits about 15 minutes ago on a run from Parutis -->Medb. In the past week I've cleared $648 million from this run. This run is not dead, this run is A-Ok working as intended.

You are incorrect GainDamage. People in the comments are every bit as smart as you. FD removed every single skimmer mission from the game, many of them paying much less than 100MCr/hr. No one but FD can predict what FD will do. There have been many changes in payouts for missions across the game. FD have a habit of making changes with broad brush strokes. There are many hardcore fans of this game who feel these types of things should be left to word of mouth. Perhaps we wouldn't mind so much if these little jems were posted by the people who discovered them but that not what the more popular ED youtubers have been doing. Heck, my own faction's favorite money making spot was recently nerfed because of youtube videos and perhaps forum posts to a lesser extent.

exploration run? in what way? you just set out a course and just explore the galaxy for weeks and weeks on end. weeks of jumping and jumping and jumping without any station or point of intrest what so ever? or some kind of passenger mission? in any case this is a point of elite dangerous that has always dissapointed me. the galaxy is wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle.

As far as Robigo is concerned it still pays out very well. When you consider combat which pays buttons by comparison, FDev is much more likely to nerf anything that might pay out a better income eg. Skimmer missions, stacking murder missions etc. I still think you guys have it much better financially and the risk is so much less when compared to combat.

Thanks for this post. I just returned to the game after being away for a while and found Ceos/Sothis wasn't viable anymore so I was looking for a replacement for sightseeing runs. I'm making 30 mil every 36 min in a stock a-rated conda with 4 jumps in between Hauser's Reach and Sirius Atmospherics. 60 mil every hour and 12 minutes is fine with me.

Thanks for the video! Robigo still working nicely. For those who haven't got the funds to start a Type6 is a great passenger runner for only 2.7mil fully fitted. I have been doing runs from Robigo Mines in a Python fully fitted with passenger cabins (no shields or weapons). Making about 80-100mil per hour.

I tried this today... bought me a Conda, outfitted it similar to D2EA's, engineered the FSD and Engines (I hate flying the Conda without dirty drives), and did as D2EA demonstrated. It worked well! I quickly became allied with all 3 factions by redeeming the Rep++++ rewards, and was soon taking 1.8 to 2.8M CR missions and racked up about 64M credits in a couple of hours without any issues. Then... I began getting taunts from pilots looking for my wanted passengers. The first time this happened, I just avoided getting interdicted and it wasn't too bad. But the second time, I think he scanned me just as I was docking the Conda and half my passengers jumped ship. It was hard to tell, since I was inundated with messages from the passengers and the pilot at the worst possible moment (for me) as I was entering the slot. No one shot at me, but I suspect if I had earlier allowed an interdiction I would have been in a fight (with no weapons). Taking only tourists avoids this problem, but the return is *way* lower. So, I think this idea is good as long as you "don't have to worry about wanted passengers", which is apparently no longer as true as it was when the video was released. Risking having your wanted-passengers mutiny seems OK, but this seems like a bad idea risking a 7M rebuy without understanding what is happening here. Did something change? This strategy still sort-of works...... for awhile

Great guide.... Thanks! Ive been doing ceos/sothis runs but decided to make a little more credits by buying my first anaconda and doing these Robigo to Sothis runs. Im having trouble getting my jump range over 30ly .... Its currently 29.62ly. And have to make 3 jumps which i would like to get down to 2 jumps. im using... 4D power plant 5D thrusters 6A frameshift drive 5D life support 5A power distributor 8D sensors x7 5D business cabins x2 4E economy cabins and a 4D shield gen I was going to swap out a 5D business for a 4E economy but nearest station that sells is like 200ly from robigo. I just did this and it worked the first couple of times, then third time round I got put into a detention centre. All my passengers bailed just before I docked in Robigo. Not sure if I was just unlucky. I sat outside the station for ages (had other things I needed to get on with) so perhaps that had something to do with it!?

can confirm this is still working, but a little bit weaker.. to complete my Exploration Rank Elite, i had to make around 25 Flights. The first 5 helped me to get Allied state with them. Then i got per flight around 14-15 millions. it seems that it depends on the cabins you installed. now they want sometimes luxury cabins, which dont had.. and dont look after the 2.5 mills flights, but also check the 3-3.4 mills flights ;-) after 20 flights i got 2 times interrupted, and i had to start board hopping to get better flights... in almost 10hrs / 23 flights (with 2hrs afk/dogwalk pauses) of gameplay in my conda i got 307 millions ;-) thats around 38 mill per hr...

One aspect that you didnt mention, these missions are great way of collecting grade 5 mats. Exquisite Focus Crystals, Modified Firmware, Biotech Conductors. I chose these as the rewards every time I had one with the option and quickly filled them up. Need to get back to some traders and swap some over. ~40m + lots of mats is a win win :) Also, you really dont need shields so an extra 10m every hour of 12-20 mats :)

5/5/19 Updated commanders. Not nerfed, but the system is Boom. If you leave the station with wanted passengers you'll get killed. Kicked me 400ly to a penal station. Go to Robigo Mines. Same missions, only can do medium ship but no security ever and faster docking etc. I'm averaging 60mil hr and that's due to my 16ly jump range. takes me 5 jumps one way :/

Its been a min since i fid those missions. I used a beluga with a ton of heatsinks to disrupt scans.....but for some reason I never got scanned and i wander if it was because of my reputation being maxed....who knows.

It took me 48 minutes to get there and when I arrived, two of the mission givers had zero missions to give. I can get missions from the Sirius Corporation (mostly planetary scans in the Robigo system). Looks like PAX missions have been turned off. Man, I'm so sick of FDEV doing this. Haven't played since march of this year since they shut down the skimmer missions, now I'm again reminded why I don't play this game much anymore.

Yes, I stand corrected. This works just fine. When I got there a few days ago, I checked the mission board (not the passenger mission boards) because I was going to run data missions to build rep while my Anaconda was on its way. My first thought when I saw only one mission giver out of the three available was that Fdev was nerfing this tactic. They’ve done it us before. I built my rep just like DTEA suggested by running PAX missions, and everything was working as he suggested. My mistake.

Just got scanned and shot down by the station LOL -so yeah the anarchy stations seem to do scannings quite similar way the "normal" stations do. Now sitting in some distant criminal station 250Ly from Robigo. Lost the ship and full load of passengers. Mission givers are angry as ***k LOL as have lowered my reputation quite effectively (whole days work down to drain). Please be careful to take criminal passengers as obviously it has some risks involved. o7

Perhaps the Dolphin is too small. Try (if you can) a M ship like T-6 Transporter or Asp Explorer (both size M) in case you don't have the budget for a fitted Python.

you just make sure you make it into the station before they scan you. so no slow flying. but almost boost in there. plus having a high reputation helps alot. it takes longer before they scan you if you have a high reputation

Hauser's reach station can be a pain to land in without getting scanned. You can do it with a board computer and if you get scanned before entering the gate you can use taskmanager to close the game. You can try again after restarting the game, yeah it's a bit cheap. I got around the 55mil every hour, almost the same with the CEOS side seeing missions.

You can do the same runs with smaller ships, like Python, Asp or even Cobra, only the payouts will be lower (obviously). All the ships have the same speed in supercruise. Sothis is an outlier for grinds, you can find profitable routes in the bubble too. I'm been doing HIP 118321 (Herzog Gateway) - Damona (Littrow City) taxi runs with my Python, racked up about 100 mil yesterday. Not the most profitable route, but it's in the bubble and not much traffic around.

This is still viable to this day, albeit with minor modifications. I can do a run from Robigo Mines and it takes me about 12 minutes and I make upwards of 20 million. The only thing is you have to do it with a medium size ship so I use the Python completely stripped of everything but as many Business Class Passenger Cabins as I can, but I still make upwards of 20 mil in about 12 minutes.

Actually it depends on your reputation with the station... I don't get scanned at all and I use a docking computer Also if you get scanned carry at least one hardpoint and deploy it anytime you're scanned to interrupt the scan then retract them after you've ditched the scan.

at first i got scanned alot aswel and i stopped transporting criminals. but. i noticed that as my standing with the corp increased it became less and less frequent to be scanned. ofcourse making it inside of the station within about 20-30 seconds from dropping out of supercruise (i usually end up around 8000 meters out) just boost like a mad man and fly it into the slot like a glove ace ventura style.

If you are only doing the Sothis passenger missions why not just run them from ceos, pay out slightly lower but turn around time is faster so balances out.

GainDamage Robigo to sothis. That’s the run. But you get identical missions from CEOS, and CEOS is a lot closer! 1 jump there 1 jump back. Robigo is 2-3 jumps there, 2-3 jumps back.

@@darkracer1252 Idk what video you watched he was getting 2.5mil ish per mission it never takes more than 5 minutes to fill all my cabins and it takes 15 minutes or so to run it its 20-25 million a run. Since I posted this I ran it for at least a week or two with 100% success. It has now been a month and it is possible it has been nerfed but this 100% worked and worked well.

god damn all you do is flame lol. This isnt even the medb run. The robigo mission out to the tourist spot and back. You make less per run but you get so many of them and the missions are so quick, that you make quite a bit overall. This is still very much un nerfed. Did several sets of these with 0 board hopping earlier this evening. With great payout. You may want to move to a video that is talking about the medb runs and not the robigo runs.

I've done this today two times... both times I was shoot down by police and Station fire... 1st Time I was returning and had landing permission and after I enterd the station I got a warning that I am not allowed to be there. 2nd Time almost the same. Was on silent running and scanned shortly before I entered the station. got a warning and was shot down. I never had this before, a bounty when I traveled a wanted person but not fired at me... an this is an anarchy system... Advice please :(

With a properly outfitted Dolphin, you can get 50m credits per hour, Orca gets 80m, and Beluga gets 115m.

Please Please Please revamp this video to tell people to equip a fuel scoop for the trip to Robigo and then transfer one of the cabins over. You have no idea how many people run out of fuel before getting even halfway to Robigo because the trip is an absolute dead zone for any available stations.
