70+ LB Monster Blue Catfish Fight From A Cliff (My Longest Blue Cat)

Of course, the time I decide to bank fish I forget to bring my good scale and catch the giant... That's just how it goes sometimes lol. This was a monster male blue cat but not having a scale had me thinking about it a lot which is why I made an "aftermath" portion of this video. It had a massive frame but it looked like the spawn was rough on this fish and was missing a lot of weight especially towards the tail.
I like to weigh my fish because I'm trying to gather data over the course of several years with hopefully as many large blue cats as I can catch in order to come up with a generally accurate chart depicting length and girth vs weight in the MO/MS rivers. In the end, does the weight matter? No... but given I don't catch fish with this physique all that often, I was very curious and a bit disappointed that I never got to find out what this one weighs. I do think it was 70+... 80? Maybe... I guess I'll just have to find a bigger one!
