I believe the Pizza Hut Taco Pizza ad also features Jesse D. Goins. who played one of the high school students on The Greatest American Hero in the early '80s.

11:02--I vaguely remember that packaging. I'd kind of forgotten that Irish Spring soap was marketed primarily towards men back then, but after all, I was just a kid.

Couldn’t help but notice, the one female soldier in the Army commercial was applying lipstick. 😂 I was nine when these aired, I remember the Dr. Pepper and Irish Spring commercials.

That Sea Breeze commercial screams late 70's and early 80's yacht/sailing culture that became so popular at the time (remember Christopher Cross hitting big with Sailing giving birth to yacht rock), the dreamy background travelogue music, the girl with her Cheryl Ladd look, and the guy wearing his preppy Lacoste Izod alligator polo shirt that every man and boy had to have in their wardrobe.

"Sailing" didn't give birth to Yacht Rock. It was released in 1980, towards the tail end of that genre's popularity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yacht_rock

I stand corrected. I just associate Christopher Cross with that genre of music along with Bertie Higgins Key Largo that was released in 1981 and hit big in 1982. That late 70's/early 80's mostly soft rock sound.

3:37 Pepsi and 9:31 Coke both have had a lot of great jingles over the years, and we get one of each here. Ah, the cola wars! 4:07--What ever happened to Agree shampoo? I remember that slogan about stopping "the greasies." 4:37--"Reach out and touch someone" is an iconic slogan/jingle. It was all over TV back then. 12:32--If Certs mints are still around, they've sure become hard to find in my area. They were my favorite breath mints for years, and still would be if I could find them in the stores where I shop.

1:37--I agree that Pizza Hut isn't what it used to be. If I recall correctly, I think they had pretty good taco pizza back then. I love they way they adapted the traditional "Mexican Hat Dance" in this commercial.

La-Z Boy-must be her audition tape for The Price Is Right showcase model Midnight Special-that song would later be immortalized as the music for when Phoebe Cates came up out the pool.. :D Pizza Hut-ugh that Taco Pizza was terrible IMO Sea Breeze-wouldve been funny if this were to cross over into the Navy ad(loved the music in that commercial by the way) CHiPs-hopefully neither Ponch or Jon were in that car which flipped over A Man Called Sloane-who wouldnt want to face "The Seduction Squad".. The Jacksons/LTD-Arizona wasnt one of the stops on that tour,sadly :( EPT-Nooo that's Diana..hopefully that test wasnt positive lol
