It is not common, but some countries do ask for proof of financial stability for visitors. I always try to have a sense of requirements before I travel, because those people working in immigration can be a bit intense lol.

I just got back from Aruba yesterday and can tell by the air port process, this is not Aruba. In Aruba, you get your luggage off the carousel then you go through security with the luggage scanner before leaving the air port

I have never heard of them asking to look at your bank account. Maybe to look at the credit/debit card but not bank account. They don't even ask that in most first world countries. I think overall is just to see that you are able to sustain yourself while in the country.

When visiting any foreign country you should always research the entry requirements and the customs of that country. Sufficient funds for accommodations and food is a requirement for tourists visiting Curacao. Be safe guys.
